3.8 Messenger Kids is designed specifically for children, providing a safe and engaging platform for them to communicate with friends and family. Here are some of its standout features:
As a parent, I often find myself looking for ways to keep my children connected with their friends and family, especially during busy weekdays. Messenger Kids has become an essential tool in our household. For example, on weekends, my kids often have playdates with their friends. Instead of just texting, they use Messenger Kids to send fun voice messages and photos to each other, which adds a personal touch to their interactions. Additionally, during family gatherings, we set up video calls with relatives who can’t attend in person, allowing my children to maintain those important connections.
The user interface of Messenger Kids is bright and engaging, making it appealing to children. The app is easy to navigate, with large buttons and colorful icons that my kids can understand without any assistance. The workflow is seamless; they can switch between chatting, video calling, and using fun effects with just a few taps. Performance-wise, I’ve noticed that the app runs smoothly without lag, even during video calls. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The joy on my children’s faces when they connect with their friends is priceless, and I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with knowing they are using a safe platform.
Messenger Kids is completely free to use, which is a significant advantage for families. There are no hidden fees or subscription costs, making it accessible for everyone. This allows parents to provide their children with a safe communication tool without worrying about additional expenses.
The app is regularly updated, which is reassuring as it shows that the developers are committed to improving the user experience and addressing any potential issues. I’ve reached out to customer support a couple of times with questions about features, and I was pleasantly surprised by their prompt and helpful responses. The support team is knowledgeable and genuinely cares about user feedback, which enhances my overall satisfaction with the app.
As a parent, security and privacy are my top concerns when it comes to apps for my children. Messenger Kids is available on both the App Store and Google Play, and it has received positive reviews regarding its safety features. The registration process requires minimal personal data, which is a relief. Parents create accounts for their children, and there’s no need for kids to provide personal information like phone numbers or email addresses.
Moreover, Messenger Kids does not display ads, which is a significant advantage in protecting children from inappropriate content. The app also does not track user behavior for advertising purposes, ensuring that my children’s data remains private. Overall, I feel confident allowing my kids to use Messenger Kids, knowing that their safety and privacy are prioritized.

incredibly bad echo on all calls. camera often stops working (only in app) making it so after 3-4 I have to restart my phone. sometimes camera won't even turn on. message updates aren't always accurate (when my friend says they got the text, on my end multiple days later it still says it hasn't sent. when I have an incoming call it pops up a notification but doesn't tell me who's calling. icons for people stop working for long periods of time and then randomly start working for a day and break.

Not sure if there was a bad update, but all of my children can no longer see their friends. I see their friends in my parent dashboard, but their app shows no friends at all. I have tried EVERYTHING suggested to fix this, but nothing has fixed it. This is frustrating because it is now summer break, and this is how they keep in touch with their friends.

The app is overall great, sure ot can be a bit glitchy here and there, but the bugs are rarely even big. The only thing that's really annoying, is that on some devices you can have a full theme, on others you can decorate it a little bit, and on aome (like mine) you're stuck with a dark blue, amd cannot change it. I've tried many different ways, but it just doesn't work. It's not that much of a big deal, but it's just a really annoying bug :/

Nice app. I do wish there were more options in the drawing thing. Stuff like an entire color palette to choose from instead of limited colors. A paint bucket tool, and a way to zoom in and out on your drawing. Also with profile pictures you gotta take a picture right then and there, you cant pick one from your gallery. Other than that I recommend this. Gave a good day

I love messenger kids, but lately it's been really really glitchy. Can someone please work on fixing the bugs? Specifically, when somebody sends me a bunch of photos at once, no matter which one I click on, it only shows me the first photo they sent. It makes it really hard to see photos. Also something that's really bothering me is that certain people's profile pictures go blank, and won't show up, which is confusing, because everybody looks the same. Thanks for whoever is reading this
