4.0 Microsoft SharePoint is a powerful collaboration platform that has become an essential tool for businesses and organizations around the globe. Its robust features cater to a variety of needs, making it a versatile choice for teams of all sizes. Here are some of the core features that stand out:
As a project manager in a mid-sized tech company, I rely heavily on Microsoft SharePoint for various tasks. One of the primary scenarios is managing project documentation. Whenever we kick off a new project, I create a dedicated SharePoint site where all relevant documents, timelines, and resources are stored. This central hub allows my team to access everything they need without searching through endless email threads or disparate folders on our local drives.
Another scenario is during team meetings. I often use SharePoint to present project updates, pulling in data and documents directly from our shared site. This not only keeps everyone on the same page but also encourages real-time feedback and collaboration, as team members can access the documents while we discuss them.
The user interface of Microsoft SharePoint is intuitive and user-friendly, which is a significant advantage for someone like me who isn’t particularly tech-savvy. Navigating through the various features feels natural, and the layout is clean and organized. I appreciate the customizable dashboards that allow me to prioritize the information I see first, making it easier to manage my tasks effectively.
In terms of performance, SharePoint is generally reliable. I’ve experienced occasional slow loading times, especially when accessing large files, but these instances are rare. The overall workflow is smooth, and the integration with other Microsoft 365 tools enhances my productivity. I feel empowered to manage my projects efficiently, thanks to the seamless connectivity between SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.
Microsoft SharePoint offers various pricing plans, which can be tailored to fit the needs of different organizations. The pricing typically starts with a basic plan that includes essential features, while more advanced plans offer additional functionalities like enhanced security and compliance tools. For small businesses, the cost is quite reasonable, especially considering the value it brings in terms of collaboration and productivity.
Microsoft regularly updates SharePoint, introducing new features and improvements based on user feedback. I’ve noticed enhancements in the user interface and additional integrations with other Microsoft applications, which have made my experience even better. The support options are also commendable; I’ve reached out to their customer service a couple of times, and they were responsive and helpful, providing solutions to my queries promptly.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any application, and Microsoft SharePoint does not disappoint in this regard. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, which is standard for most business applications.
Importantly, SharePoint does not bombard users with ads, and I have not noticed any intrusive tracking behavior. Microsoft is known for its commitment to user privacy, and I feel confident that my data is secure. The platform also offers various security features, such as multi-factor authentication and data encryption, which further enhance my peace of mind while using the app.

I can't stand this app. Nothing is intuitive. Everything is clunky. It doesn't keep me logged in. I have a checklist to complete weekly and if I allow my phone's screen to timeout, Sharepoint resets itself. My work has a calendar to reserve tools, I cannot add events in the app so I need to use a browser anyway. I can't edit lists, need to use browser. The Sharepoint app feels like it was developed in 2009 and then never updated.

Does not have meta data, views, or filters. So it's virtually impossible to work with our data. Looks very much like a rewrapped OneDrive only you can't upload a file either. Very very limited. Update: app is still very limited. Mobile site, however, has improved substantially and allows proper navigation of sharepoint on a phone. Just note that the browser you use makes a big difference. Had best luck in Puffin (Chrome struggled)

Works smooth, too bad it's useless! There's no accessible folder structure, files can't be favorited for easier access, it prioritizes showing people as opposed to files, as if you weren't already using Teams already for communication! And don't get me started on the news section. It's as if this app were envisioned with no other goal than to waste your time, as everything it does, another Microsoft app does it better (and that's not saying much)

I really don't know where to begin. Uploads don't work for single or multiple files, downloads don't work, the UI is poorly optimized for phone screens, and the back button does not navigate back through folders. It's honestly hard to find anything that works as it should. I checked permissions, cleared cache and cookies and tried reinstalling only to encounter the same issues.

Every time I app and i want to access the same document or the same folder in 2 seperate instances in a row, the app will remember the file directory I was in form the previous instance that I was in Sharepoint but will not let me load any files until I back all the way out and reenter the file tree. The fact that it remembers the last place I was but won't let me do anything until I back all the way out and reenter the tree makes this the most infuriating app that I need to use for work.
