4.5 Mingle2: Dating, Chat & Meet is a versatile dating app that stands out in a crowded market. With its user-friendly interface and a variety of features, it caters to a wide range of users looking for meaningful connections. Here are some of the core features that make Mingle2 a compelling choice:
My journey with Mingle2 began on a quiet Sunday afternoon when I was looking for something to do. I had just moved to a new city and wanted to meet new people. I downloaded the app, created my profile, and started browsing through potential matches. I found myself using Mingle2 during my lunch breaks at work, where I could quickly check messages and respond to matches. It became a fun way to break up my day and connect with others, especially when I was feeling a bit lonely in a new environment.
The user interface of Mingle2 is straightforward and intuitive, making it easy for anyone to navigate. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that showcased potential matches prominently. The feature workflow is seamless; I could swipe through profiles, send messages, and even access community forums without any hiccups. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly, with minimal loading times. Overall, my experience has been positive; I felt engaged and excited to explore the connections I was making. The notifications kept me updated without being overwhelming, which is a delicate balance that Mingle2 manages well.
Mingle2 is primarily free to use, which is a significant advantage over many other dating apps that require subscriptions for full access. While there are optional premium features available, I found that the free version provided ample opportunities to connect and communicate. This accessibility makes it an attractive option for users who may be hesitant to invest money upfront in their dating journey.
The app is regularly updated, which is evident in the new features and improvements I’ve noticed over time. Customer support is responsive and helpful; I had a minor issue with my profile that was resolved quickly through their support channel. The developers seem committed to enhancing user experience, which is reassuring for anyone concerned about app reliability.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using dating apps like Mingle2. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During registration, I was required to provide basic information, such as my email and location, but I appreciated that there were no intrusive personal data requirements. Mingle2 also has a clear privacy policy that outlines how user data is handled, which is reassuring.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, I noticed that while the app does display ads, they are not overly intrusive. Mingle2 seems to strike a balance between monetization and user experience, ensuring that ads do not detract from the overall functionality of the app. Additionally, the photo verification feature adds an extra layer of security, helping to mitigate concerns about fake profiles and ensuring a safer dating environment.

It's okay. Definitely free to use, but the advertising can get frustrating. Otherwise they don't really block too much from use. Currently they are only preventing me from seeing who is looking at my profile. Other than that, I'm able to message freely and there aren't any limits on messages per day. The perks from a one time pay membership may be worth it for quality of life rather than being too obstructive to the dating app.

as of now I am disappointed. in a moment of weakness I purchased the lifetime membership. it was on sale for like 60 bucks. since then, I have been hit with over 100 notifications, like 60% of the people that have liked me have no bio, and of the rest, 28% are nowhere near me. also, even though I changed the search range, I am still seeing people states away. my rating may change, but for now, I am disappointed. p.s. I have now turned off notifications and will browse at my pace.

Very limited in the "Free" version as marketed. Basically it is the platform that holds portfolios. Inable to interact or communicate or even see who viewed you, it's pay to play. This is fine but don't over emphasize and market a "free" application it is only the doormat. Second, have the option to organize potential matches by distance and when someone says within 30 miles, if there's only 6 people show me 6 people. Don't change MY preferences just to show me more of YOUR customers.

spent a few hours trying to find a single real person. Paid for premium account just so I could see who "liked" me. App glitched as soon as I paid. Didn't change anything. Tried to talk to multiple people but all of them were fake accounts. Not a single real person, and most of my matches were out of state. Don't pay money for this scam, it's not even worth the download. I tried to dispute the charge but I might be out of $30 just because of the nature of the purchase. No response from help team

This app is very similar to Tinder, which I very much like. The price to view members who like you is just where it needs to be. However, the app always restarts when my phone accidently loses wifi connection, which happened while I was writing messages and making my profile, so I had to start all over. The distance spectrum is also way off, when looking for people within a 50 mile radius, it was showing me people well over 2 hours away. A few tweaks and this app could easily surpass the others.
