Notion Calendar is a versatile productivity tool that seamlessly integrates scheduling and task management within the Notion workspace. Designed for individuals and teams, it allows users to create, organize, and track events and deadlines effortlessly. With customizable views, reminders, and collaborative features, Notion Calendar enhances workflow efficiency and keeps everyone aligned. Whether for personal planning or team projects, it transforms how you manage time and tasks, making organization intuitive and visually appealing.

Features & Highlights

Notion Calendar is more than just a scheduling tool; it’s a comprehensive workspace that integrates seamlessly with your daily tasks and projects. Here are some of its standout features:

  • Customizable Views: Notion Calendar allows you to switch between different views such as monthly, weekly, or daily. This flexibility means you can visualize your schedule in a way that suits your planning style. For instance, I often switch to the weekly view when I need to plan my work tasks alongside personal appointments, making it easier to balance my commitments.
  • Integration with Notion Pages: The calendar is fully integrated with other Notion pages, allowing you to link tasks, notes, and projects directly to your events. I recently planned a project deadline and linked it to a detailed project page, which helped me keep all relevant information in one place, reducing the need to switch between apps.
  • Collaboration Features: Notion Calendar supports real-time collaboration, making it perfect for teams. I use it to coordinate meetings with my colleagues, and the ability to see everyone’s availability in one place has significantly streamlined our scheduling process.
  • Reminders and Notifications: You can set reminders for your events, ensuring you never miss an important meeting or deadline. I appreciate this feature, especially when I have back-to-back appointments; the notifications help me stay on track without feeling overwhelmed.
  • Task Management Integration: Notion Calendar allows you to create tasks directly from your calendar events. This feature has been a game-changer for me, as I can quickly turn a meeting into actionable tasks without leaving the calendar interface.

Real Experience Using "Notion Calendar"

Application Scenarios

As a freelance writer juggling multiple projects, Notion Calendar has become an indispensable part of my daily routine. I use it to manage deadlines for articles, client meetings, and personal appointments. For example, when I have a deadline approaching, I create a dedicated page for that project and link it to the calendar. This way, I can easily track my progress and ensure I allocate enough time for research and writing. Additionally, I often collaborate with editors and other writers, so the ability to share my calendar and see their availability has made scheduling meetings a breeze.

User Experience

The user interface of Notion Calendar is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate even for those who may not be tech-savvy. The drag-and-drop functionality allows me to reschedule events effortlessly, and the customizable views cater to my personal preferences. I particularly enjoy the seamless integration with other Notion features; for instance, I can create a task directly from a calendar event, which saves me time and keeps everything organized. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any noticeable lag, even when I have multiple tabs open. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, as it has significantly improved my productivity and organization.

Pricing

Notion offers a free tier that provides access to basic features, which is great for individual users. However, for those who want to unlock advanced features like unlimited file uploads and version history, the paid plans start at $8 per month when billed annually. I find the pricing reasonable considering the extensive capabilities of the app, especially for teams that require collaboration tools.

Updates & Support

Notion is committed to continuous improvement, regularly rolling out updates that enhance functionality and user experience. Their support team is responsive and helpful, providing assistance through various channels, including email and community forums. I’ve reached out a couple of times with questions, and each time, I received prompt and informative responses, which reassured me of their dedication to user satisfaction.

Security & Privacy Review

As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Notion Calendar does not disappoint. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring a reliable source for downloads. When registering, I was required to provide minimal personal data, which is a plus for privacy-conscious users. Notion does not bombard users with ads, and I appreciate that they do not engage in aggressive tracking behavior. They have a clear privacy policy that outlines how they handle user data, which adds an extra layer of trust. Overall, I feel secure using Notion Calendar, knowing that my information is protected while I manage my busy schedule.

Not sure if there was a recent update. The app used to work great, but now when I open the app I have to login every time. logging in requires signing in multiple times because it doesn't work the first time. open the app, sign in, sign in again, sometimes a third time, and then it takes me to notion instead of calendar. tried deleting, redownloading, restarting my phone, now the widget doesn't show anything. Hope the bug gets fixed soon.

become unusable Recently I've just been getting logged out every time I use this application. It's frustrating to have to log in and then it doesn't actually log you in. I'm in some sort of a login cycle. I've cleared the cache, deleted the app, restarted my phone, all these things, all the traditional troubleshooting, and still I'm having to log in every time I want to view my calendar. I'm switching apps. Notion, if you could please fix this and get back to me or whatever.

WHY IS THERE NO MONTHLY VIEW?! I was stuck on the sign into Google screen but I was able to get in. Select "Open in Chrome browser". Then, sign in and that worked fine for me. I like the look of the app but I'm disappointed that there's no monthly view. You can drag and drop events but there are no handles to quickly adjust the start and end time. Also, there's always the no upcoming meeting text which is goofy. For now, I'm going to uninstall and just use a different calendar. 😔

I was hopeful that this would be an extension of Notion's already impressive notekeeping featureset, but more focal to calendar events so that it can more easily integrate with your existing phone calendars, but with extra layers of automation and organization. Well, at least so far, that's not what this is. what this is currently is a far worse calendar app than anything else you already use. My understanding is that the desktop app is needed for full function, but then what is the point?

The desktop version is spectacular. I love that I can combine my google calendar with my notion databases all in one view while still keeping each of those things separate in different pages. Works wonders for businesses or people with tons of projects. The mobile app, though... it still does that, but doesn't have a month view. Everything is crammed together, and it's difficult to use compared to the desktop version. Just get it for your PC or laptop.
