4.6 OpenTable is a powerful app that has transformed the way we dine out. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it makes reserving a table at your favorite restaurant a breeze. Here are some of the core features that stand out:
As someone who enjoys dining out, I often find myself using OpenTable in various scenarios. Whether it's a casual lunch with colleagues, a romantic dinner date, or a celebratory dinner with friends, the app has become my go-to tool for securing reservations. Just last week, I had a business meeting scheduled at a trendy downtown restaurant. Knowing it would be busy, I used OpenTable to reserve a table in advance, ensuring that my clients and I wouldn’t have to wait. The convenience of being able to book a table on the go, while I was commuting, is a game-changer.
The user interface of OpenTable is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that allows me to search for restaurants by location, cuisine, or even specific dishes. The feature workflow is seamless; I can filter results based on my preferences, view available time slots, and read reviews—all in one place. The performance is impressive, with quick loading times and no glitches during my usage. Overall, my experience with OpenTable has been overwhelmingly positive. It feels like having a personal concierge at my fingertips, ready to assist with my dining needs.
OpenTable is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for users. There are no hidden fees associated with making reservations, and the loyalty points system adds value without any cost. While some premium features may be available at select restaurants, the core functionalities of the app remain accessible to everyone, making it a fantastic tool for all diners.
The OpenTable app is regularly updated to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I appreciate that the developers actively listen to user feedback, as I’ve noticed improvements in the app’s performance and additional functionalities over time. Customer support is readily available through the app, and I’ve found their response times to be prompt and helpful. Whether I had a question about my reservation or needed assistance with the app, the support team was always there to help.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and OpenTable does a commendable job in this regard. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my name and email address, which is standard for most apps. OpenTable has a clear privacy policy that outlines how my data is used and protected, giving me peace of mind.
Additionally, I appreciate that OpenTable does not bombard users with excessive ads or tracking behavior. The app focuses on providing a seamless dining experience rather than pushing unwanted advertisements. Overall, I feel secure using OpenTable, knowing that my personal information is handled with care and that my dining preferences are respected.

Convenient, easy to use. I would like to see more filtering options for special offerings like a brunch buffet, etc. It would be great to have flash reservations for the same night if a restaurant has a surprise opening. I tend to work a lot and with unexpected hours so "planning ahead" isn't generally an option for me when it comes to date nights, etc.

Dont bother setting a notification for a place you would like to make a reservation. You will get endless notifications telling you something is available and then when you click it, dang you just missed it. Literally worthless...also, dont trust the reviews on this platform, they are not even close to being accurate. This app use to be my go-to, but they lost their way a while ago and its much easier and a better experience to just call the restaurant to make reservations...old school.

Open Table is quick and easy to use, with calendar and time features clear and user-friendly. My only slight issue is that the window for arriving for your reservation is exactly 15 minutes. Once when I was running late, Open Table assumed I was a no-show when in fact I had arrived after calling to say I would be late and enjoyed the meal. Open Table stated that if it happened again, they would require a photo of my guest check to confirm I had actually kept the reservation!

The app allows you to set alerts for availability when your favorite place is bookwd up. I have receivwd dozens of these alerts when seating became available. NOT ONCE HAVE I GOTTEN THE NEWLY OPENED SEATS, EVEN WHEN CLICKING ON THE NOTIFICATION WITHIN SECONDS OF IT POPPING UP. The only thing I can imagine is that delivery of notifications is so slow that they arrive after those seats have been claimed by others. I have been after seats in one venue on any of FOUR nights, for the last 8 weeks.

I love this app! I don't enjoy waiting for a table, calling a restaurant to find out how long a wait is and I am way too busy to remember to call to make a reservation. This app takes all the guess work out of where and when to go eat a meal. I especially like the atmosphere and price categories so that you can filter out places that aren't what you're looking for. This app is super useful 👍
