I particularly enjoy the personalized recommendations based on my viewing history, which often leads me to discover hidden gems I might have otherwise overlooked. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any lag, even during peak hours. As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Optimum TV does not disappoint. However, I appreciate that Optimum TV is transparent about how my data is used and stored.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, I have not encountered intrusive advertisements while using the app. The experience feels streamlined and focused on content rather than being bombarded with ads. Overall, I feel secure using Optimum TV, knowing that my privacy is respected and protected.

Fix your app!!! No updates in over six months. They removed the remote control feature after they've given us remotes that don't have backlights. We would definitely want to use our phones as remotes at night after you cheaped out on the physical remotes. Funny how they said it was a rarely used feature but if you search by most recent reviews of the app you'll mainly find complaints about that feature being removed. BRING BACK THE REMOTE CONTROL!!!

This app this company have been the worse! I should have kept paying a higher bill at optimum. App always crashes. Says you're not connected to your home network while sitting in your living room. Altice one is a joke keep optimum don't fall for the lower bill. You'll be getting what you pay for! fast forward to 2026 and they're still the worse. App started to work well after my first review... then someone had the bright idea to remove the remote control feature on the app, like why!?

The official stated reason for recently removing the TV remote control feature of this app is because it "wasn't widely used" by customers, and "to make room for new features." However, the "real reason" was to force customers into adding additional cable boxes for each TV in other rooms in your residence, so they could charge you an additional monthly equipment fee.

The app no longer streams live tv to my phone when i'm on my home network, nor plays DVR content at all. Judging by many previous comments, I'm not the only one impacted by this issue. These days, there are all too many options for accessing live TV content and the internet. I would think a company like Optimum would recognize this and work harder to make the app work as it should.

On the old app & there was a remote to change the the tv stations, but with this new version, there is no remote option. In addition to that, they changed the box which had the time displayed & I could use the buttons on cable box to change the station. Now I can't change the tv stations at all if the remote is misplaced. And it's always saying im not connected to the home network, when that's literally the only network i'm connected to.
