Best free guitar tuner app available. It opens directly to the tuner, no sign-ins or extra fluff, just straight to the point: open app – tune guitar – close app – play guitar. The free version has a tiny banner ad that's barely noticeable. It also has many of the features you'd expect from a guitar tuner app like transposing and frequency control. It's just so refreshing to use an app that isn't begging you to sign-up, subscribe, or demanding the your email and personal information.

Former 5 Star review: Easy to use. Great for alternate tunings. Update: Sadly, the new version of the free app is terrible. Visually, it has no style and is completely generic. Practically, it is harder to read than the old one. There is no simple way to exit the app, an annoying app trend. Obviously, they want you to pay now for what was free last year by just downgrading the free product to something no one would want.

I love this tuner. It's simple, it's easy to see, and it does exactly what I need it to do without a bunch of buggy junk. The only thing that threw me was that the default readout was "backwards" from what I was used to ("flat" was to the right), but I was able to change that in the settings, no problem. It's solid, reliable, straightforward, and great for old eyes ... 5 stars, and thanks, developers!

Has nice features, but messed up on something very important: it got left/right as sharp and flat backwards. Sharp should be to the right, not to the left. Absolutely counterintuitive. Messed me up during a studio season. While i really like everything else about it, i have to use a different app; i can't risk making the same mistake. (There doesn't seem to be a setting to reverse this.)

I've been using this app almost daily for 7-8 years. It is simple and does exactly the one function it's supposed to do. No extra bells and whistles, but it gets its one job done correctly and doesn't need a WiFi connection to run. The one tiny annoyance is that the default setting puts sharp tunings on the left and flat tunings on the right. That probably works well in countries with right->left writing systems, but not mine. It's easily switched in the settings, though. Love this app!
