2.4 Parlor - Social Talking App is designed to foster genuine conversations and connections among users. Here are some of its standout features that make it a must-try for anyone looking to engage in meaningful discussions:
My journey with Parlor began during a long commute. I often found myself bored and scrolling through social media, but I craved something more engaging. One day, I decided to give Parlor a try. I joined a voice room dedicated to travel stories, and it felt like I was sitting around a campfire with friends, sharing adventures from around the globe. Another scenario was during a weekend when I wanted to learn more about photography. I hopped into a topic-based discussion where seasoned photographers shared tips and tricks, and I even received feedback on my own photos. These experiences transformed my mundane moments into opportunities for learning and connection.
The user interface of Parlor is sleek and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through various features. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that showcased trending rooms and topics. Joining a voice room was seamless; I simply tapped on a room that piqued my interest, and within seconds, I was part of a lively discussion. The sound quality was impressive, and I appreciated the ability to mute or unmute myself with a single tap. Overall, my experience was positive, as the app performed smoothly without any lag, allowing for uninterrupted conversations. I felt a sense of community and belonging, which is often hard to find in today’s digital landscape.
Parlor offers a free version that provides access to most features, making it accessible for everyone. However, there is also a premium subscription available that unlocks additional features, such as exclusive rooms and advanced moderation tools. The pricing is reasonable, and I found the premium features to be worth the investment, especially for those who want to dive deeper into the community.
The developers of Parlor are committed to enhancing user experience, as evidenced by regular updates that introduce new features and improvements. I’ve noticed enhancements in the app’s performance and user interface over time. Additionally, the support team is responsive and helpful; I reached out with a question about a feature, and they replied promptly with clear instructions. This level of support gives me confidence in the app’s ongoing development.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any social app. Parlor is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During registration, I was required to provide minimal personal data, which is a relief compared to many other apps that demand extensive information. The app has clear privacy policies in place, ensuring that my data is not sold to third parties. I also appreciate that Parlor does not bombard users with ads, which can often lead to intrusive tracking behavior. Instead, the focus remains on fostering genuine conversations, making it a safe space for users to express themselves without the fear of being tracked or targeted by advertisers.

I'm in the UK. Every tile in the app says, “Content not viewable in your region”. If that's the case, why do you even make the app available to download in the UK?

This was a nightmare to set up, and only found out a bit later this was NOT the app I was looking for. I was looking for the app Parler(notice the one letter difference?) that is the 'new Twitter' . While this is older, it is certainly not better, imo. The platform was messy to navigate and made little intuitive sense.

Horrible app!... The whole set up was more of a hassle than it was worth ... Had my account for a short time and was private, but i still I got hacked... when I went in to delete the account, I couldn't remove my profile picture and some information wasn't retrievable!!.. I don't recommend this app.

I've always enjoyed this app. Unfortunately after the new update today it's almost unusable. constantly crashing and restarting and half the time it doesn't let me end a conversation that I'm on and I have to close the app completely. Seriously what the hell did you guys do to this? It's worked fine for so long how did you screw it up?

Spent about an hour figuring it out and attempting to use it. It's pretty basic so quick figuring it out, but actually using it, not so quick!!! There's 8 tiles, each labeled with a topic, click on topic and app (attempts) connects with someone (just one person) after 40-50 connection attempts on various topics I only made 1 connection. It was a guy from Indiana, it was his first time. He thought this app sucked! Didn't get much else from the conversation as app cut conversation short.
