4.8 Patreon is a unique platform that connects creators with their fans, allowing for a more personalized and rewarding experience. Here are some of the standout features that make Patreon a go-to choice for both creators and supporters:
As a content creator, I often find myself juggling multiple platforms to engage with my audience. Patreon has become an essential tool in my daily routine. For instance, I use it to share exclusive content with my patrons, such as early access to my blog posts and behind-the-scenes videos of my creative process. On days when I’m working on a new project, I’ll hop onto Patreon to give my supporters a sneak peek, which not only keeps them engaged but also makes them feel like they are part of my journey.
The user interface of Patreon is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon logging in, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my latest posts, patron count, and earnings. Navigating through the app is seamless; I can easily upload new content, manage my tiers, and interact with my patrons. The workflow is straightforward—creating a post takes just a few clicks, and I appreciate the ability to schedule posts for future release. Overall, my experience has been positive; the app performs well without any significant glitches, and I feel confident in using it to connect with my audience.
Patreon operates on a subscription model, which means that creators can set their own membership prices. The platform takes a percentage of the earnings, which varies depending on the plan chosen by the creator. For example, I opted for the Pro plan, which charges a 8% fee on my earnings. While this may seem steep, the value I receive in terms of tools and support makes it worthwhile. Plus, I can set my tiers at various price points, allowing me to cater to different segments of my audience.
Patreon regularly updates its platform to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I’ve noticed improvements in the analytics dashboard and content management tools over time, which have made my workflow even smoother. When I’ve encountered issues, the support team has been responsive and helpful, providing timely assistance through their help center and email support. This level of support gives me peace of mind as a creator, knowing that I can rely on them when needed.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any online platform, and Patreon does a commendable job in this regard. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards set by these platforms. When registering, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my name and email address, which is standard practice. I appreciate that Patreon does not require excessive personal data, which helps maintain my privacy.
Moreover, I have not encountered any intrusive ads or tracking behavior while using the app. Patreon focuses on providing a premium experience for its users, and this is reflected in their commitment to user privacy. They have clear policies regarding data usage, and I feel secure knowing that my information is handled responsibly. Overall, I believe that Patreon prioritizes the security and privacy of its users, making it a trustworthy platform for creators and patrons alike.

I have specifically turned off notifications for previews of content not included in my membership, however, it seems like doing this has only made these notifications appear more frequently. It is very annoying to get a notification thinking it is for something that I have access to, but it turns out to only be a glorified advertisement. I would rate the app 5 stars if something was done to fix this.

Patreon in general, is an amazing idea. They're doing a great job with the app lately too. Many improvements. Sadly, the auto play audio feature keeps going, even when I turn it off. (I hate auto-play. I have my own podcast app and never want to listen to something with the Patreon app). I'm still happy enough that I give it 5 stars.

was doing absolutely fine until this update. I have been loyally subscribed to 1 creator, and now it's telling me my payment isn't going through. I've been using the same card for a long time with no problem. It's showing up on my 1 card, but says it's trying to charge it on a different card of mine. I can't fix it on the app or on the internet!

takes forever to load something, great when it works though. I updated it and everything and the pages just arent loading. edit: ok once I got on my.mobile data the videos started playing. but they started to go in short 2 or 3 second loops over and over again in different spots! very weird! and now it has paused in one place and wont continue loading even after me shutting off the app multiple times. this is a recurring issue now for the past few days.

I've been a paying patron to several authors, now. Five different accounts for several years. And in the last month or two at the end of the comment section, I keep on seeing all these "recommended" "recommended" "recommended" non-Stop. It has completely removed my ability to either view comments or even make a comment. I have had to block 30 different patreon's, that I've never looked at before, just so I can remove it from my feed. I am a premium paying member. I should not have these ads.
