3.6 My journey with the Renpho app began during my New Year’s resolution phase when I decided to take my health more seriously. Every morning, I would step on my Renpho smart scale, which syncs effortlessly with the app. After weighing myself, I would open the app to log my weight and review my body composition metrics. This routine quickly became a part of my daily life. Additionally, I often use the app after my workouts to track my progress and adjust my fitness goals accordingly. On weekends, I would sit down with a cup of coffee and analyze my weekly trends, which helped me stay motivated and accountable.
The user interface of the Renpho app is one of its standout features. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made it easy to navigate through various sections. The dashboard displays my most recent metrics prominently, allowing me to quickly assess my progress. The workflow is smooth; syncing with the scale is instantaneous, and I appreciate how the app provides immediate feedback on my health metrics. Performance-wise, I have not encountered any significant lags or crashes, which is a relief. Overall, my experience with the app has been positive, as it feels like a supportive companion on my health journey, encouraging me to stay on track.
The Renpho app is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for anyone looking to monitor their health without breaking the bank. While the app does offer some premium features, the basic functionalities are more than sufficient for most users. I appreciate that I can access a wealth of information and tools without any upfront costs, making it accessible to a wide audience.
While using the outdated version of the Renpho app, I noticed that updates were infrequent, which raised some concerns about potential bugs or missing features. However, the support team was responsive when I reached out with questions. They provided helpful guidance and assured me that they were working on improvements. It would be great to see more regular updates in the future to enhance the user experience further.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using health-related apps. The Renpho app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. However, I was required to register and provide some personal data, including my email and basic health information. While I understand the need for this data to personalize my experience, I remain cautious about how it is stored and used.
Additionally, I noticed some ads within the app, which can be distracting. It’s unclear how much tracking behavior is involved, but I would prefer a more transparent approach regarding data usage. Overall, while I feel relatively secure using the app, I would appreciate more clarity on their privacy policies and data handling practices to ensure my information remains protected.

The good thing , weights easily with the Bluetooth connection and tracks it on your phone. BUT... As others have mentioned, the advertisement with that health app you want us to download is just ridiculous to pop up every time! I just checked it out it only has 2.1 Stars!! Why would we want to download some app with only 2.1 Stars?!?!? Also, I want to compare it to the day before weigh-in ,not a year ago,and I can't reset it(I do the reset bit it won't take) Not very user friendly.

The scale itself works as it should, however, the app is frustrating me. When I first took my weight all the number were in color based on severity, i.e red for bad, green good etc. Now everything is in black and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. I have an additional user and on hers all the color shows and everything. I've emailed customer service twice and still no response.....its been well over a month now and no one wants to get back to me.

The app is completely unusable. I tried registering through the app. Nothing happens. I registered on their website. It says wrong username or password in the app when I try to use the aforementioned registration. The scale works though... As an every day normal scale. Total waste of money without the app. Scale will be returned. Merry Christmas, indeed!

Bioimpedance info worked for about a few weeks or so. When Renpho was contacted, they asked me to jump through all the trouble shooting exercises that I already went through without first asking me if I had tried them already. Their messages thus far seem to be automated and they just insert a new customer service name for each new inquiry posed. Their problem solving skills were to have me doing things in a redundant manner which did not give me much hope for their ability to lend assistance.

UPDATE: After verifying that my settings were not changed, I re-paired the bluetooth and stepped on the scale. All of the stats on trends returned to the previous readings. My rating would have been much higher, but after the last update (3.16.0), all of my stats on trends went the opposite way even though I know that I have lost weight. I want to see positive changes when I lose, not negative. Very disappointed. I will gladly change my review once the app is fixed.
