3.0 As a busy professional, I often find myself juggling work commitments and personal interests. Sling has become my go-to app for unwinding after a long day. Whether I'm catching up on the latest episode of a popular series during my lunch break or streaming a live sports event while cooking dinner, Sling fits seamlessly into my daily routine. On weekends, I love hosting friends for movie nights, and with Sling's extensive library, I can easily find something for everyone to enjoy.
The user interface of Sling is intuitive and user-friendly, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that showcases trending shows and live channels. The search function is efficient, allowing me to quickly find specific content or browse by genre. I appreciate the personalized recommendations based on my viewing history, which often leads me to discover new favorites. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly with minimal buffering, even during peak hours. Overall, my experience with Sling has been overwhelmingly positive, as it has transformed the way I consume television.
Sling offers competitive pricing with various packages to suit different viewing preferences. The basic plans start at an affordable rate, making it accessible for budget-conscious users. I opted for the "Sling Blue" package, which provides a solid selection of channels for a reasonable monthly fee. Additionally, there are options to add premium channels for an extra cost, allowing for further customization of my viewing experience.
Sling frequently updates its app to enhance user experience and add new features. I’ve noticed improvements in streaming quality and the addition of new channels over time. The customer support team is responsive and helpful, addressing any issues I’ve encountered promptly. Their online resources, including FAQs and troubleshooting guides, have also been beneficial in resolving minor concerns without needing to contact support directly.
As an American user, I prioritize security and privacy when using streaming apps like Sling. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring a reliable source for downloads. During registration, I was required to provide basic personal information, which is standard for most streaming services. However, I appreciate that Sling is transparent about how they use this data, primarily for account management and personalized recommendations.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, Sling does display advertisements, which is common in ad-supported streaming services. However, I have not noticed any intrusive tracking beyond what is necessary for app functionality. Overall, I feel secure using Sling, knowing that they take user privacy seriously while still providing a tailored viewing experience.

Slingtv is a ripoff. its basically junk channels that play the same reruns you can get through an antenna. there's nothing new. Plus, when you sign up they don't say that they use Google pay to take your money. when I initially signed up, I was charged twice on the same day. 2 different charges. no one at sling or Google could find either transaction. had to dispute it with credit card company. I canceled with 15 days, then today I was charged anyway for the more expensive service. frustrating!

I have used the sling app for many years on Roku. Sling removed the "recent" list which was the list I used all the time to quickly go from one station to another on the stations I watched the most. The favorite list is always sorted alphabetically so quickly finding the station you watch frequently isn't quick and easy. i would have given the original sling app a 5 if it wasn't for this change.

edit: everything else is from 2023. 2026, and app is still completely non-navigatable. Absolute junk. Unusable. As far as trying to cast to your TV from a device, the app is still in development. Can't fast forward, reverse, move further Into the video. I can after about 10 minutes each time of trying to get it to function without getting stuck at the beginning and playing the same ads in a never ending loop. This is a big company?

Love the app and the mobile access it provides. There are those unfortunate moments when the app does a mini crash and not allow you to open up channels. There will be an error message and code where it tells you that the channel is unavailable. Sometimes its multiple channels that are normally available and of course its at the worst times.

*Beware* TOTAL SCAM!!!!! I had to learn the hard way and I just lost $50. I bought a subscription to watch the NHL playoffs. I go to the guide and none of the games are even showing as options to watch. Not to mention the DVR feature doesn't work from the very start. I can't record shows and it only shows error messages. Good luck reaching any support. The only option is to chat over text which is a hassle. All they recommended is to wait 48 hours to contact again
