4.6 Todoist: To Do List & Calendar is a powerful productivity tool that has transformed the way I manage my tasks and schedule. Here are some of its standout features:
As a busy professional juggling multiple responsibilities, I rely heavily on Todoist to keep my life organized. In my daily routine, I use the app to manage both work-related tasks and personal errands. For instance, every morning, I take a few minutes to review my tasks for the day. I check off completed items from yesterday and prioritize new tasks based on deadlines and importance. Whether it’s preparing for a client meeting, scheduling a doctor’s appointment, or planning a weekend getaway, Todoist helps me stay on track.
During the week, I often collaborate with my team on various projects. We use Todoist to assign tasks to each other, set deadlines, and leave comments. This collaborative aspect has made our workflow much more efficient, as we can easily see who is responsible for what and when things are due. I also appreciate the ability to set reminders for important tasks, ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks.
The user interface of Todoist is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through tasks and projects. The design is visually appealing, with a minimalist aesthetic that doesn’t overwhelm the user. I particularly enjoy the dark mode option, which is easy on the eyes during late-night planning sessions.
Feature workflow is seamless; adding a new task takes just a few taps. I can quickly assign due dates, labels, and even priority levels without any hassle. The performance of the app is impressive, with quick loading times and smooth transitions between screens. Overall, my experience with Todoist has been overwhelmingly positive. It has become an essential part of my daily routine, helping me stay organized and productive.
Todoist offers a free version that includes basic features, which is great for casual users. However, I opted for the Premium plan, which unlocks advanced features like reminders, labels, and productivity tracking. The subscription is reasonably priced, and I find the investment worthwhile given the productivity boost I’ve experienced. There’s also a Business plan available for teams, which includes additional collaboration tools.
Todoist is regularly updated with new features and improvements, which keeps the app fresh and functional. I appreciate the active support team that responds quickly to any inquiries I have. The app also has a comprehensive help center with articles and tutorials, making it easy to find solutions to common issues. Overall, the support and updates contribute to a positive user experience.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Todoist does not disappoint. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring a reliable source for downloads. During registration, I was required to provide minimal personal data, which is a plus for privacy-conscious users like myself.
Todoist does not display ads, which is refreshing in today’s app landscape. Additionally, the app has a clear privacy policy that outlines how my data is used and protected. I feel confident using Todoist, knowing that my information is secure and that the app respects my privacy. Overall, Todoist strikes a good balance between functionality and user security, making it a trustworthy choice for task management.

This app has changed my life! Get the paid version with Ramble. It transcribes verbal dictation perfectly and sets dates and reminders automatically. Game changer for ADHD where I have to input things easily and fast before my brain moves on and gets distracted. I dont think I would have stuck with it without Ramble. It takes a bit to set up and get used to using it but afterwards I cant tell you how much my life changed. It cleared the clutter in my brain and got rid of the lists I never did.

Buggy UI in the latest. Will try to find a working version from a few years back or else stop using it. When completing a task a pop-up message stays on forever preventing me from reading what's underneath it unless I restart. There should be an option for small pop-ups out of the way that disappear far quicker then they currently do. The Undo option should be available somewhere in a menu, not in my face preventing me from using the app and wasting my time waiting for it.

I think I tried Todoist years ago and forgot about it, but it's stuck with me this time around. The free version is excellent; the only feature I'm really missing is the ability to add deadlines, which I can live without, at least for now. I love the calendar integration and the widget. There are zero ads which is amazing. Thanks Todoist for helping me with productivity!

EDIT: I reached out to support as advised in the response but they were not willing to do anything. I have used Todoist since 2010 but will have to look for another app. I paid for pro for many of those years but $60/year has become way too much. Some of us do not use the AI features, and just need reminders and more than 5 projects. For those basic needs, the new pricing makes it not worth it. Maybe come up with subscription tiers?

Fantastic. I don't just use it every day, I rely on it every day. Perhaps the best thing I can point out in a short review: the power of knowing I have to do something at a future date, telling ToDoist to put it on the list for then, and letting go of the weight of 'what if I forget?'. Tasks can be set for 'every other Tuesday' or 'every! 30 days'- i.e. 30 days from the last completion - great for filter changes or the like. I can create tasks via email and Teams with ease. Again: fantastic.
