4.5 The WeightWatchers Program, now known as WW, is more than just a weight loss app; it’s a comprehensive lifestyle change tool. Here are some of its standout features that make it a go-to choice for many on their wellness journey:
Using the WeightWatchers Program has seamlessly integrated into my daily life. Every morning, I start my day by logging my breakfast. Whether it’s a smoothie or oatmeal, I appreciate how easy it is to find recipes and track my meals. During lunch breaks at work, I often browse the app for healthy meal ideas that I can prepare quickly. On weekends, I love to explore new recipes from the app, which not only keeps my meals exciting but also helps me stay within my SmartPoints. Additionally, I often check the community forums for motivation and tips, especially when I feel my motivation waning.
The user interface of the WeightWatchers app is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my daily SmartPoints, remaining points, and activity levels. The workflow for logging meals is straightforward; I can either search for foods or scan barcodes, which saves me a lot of time. The app performs smoothly, with minimal lag, even when I’m uploading photos of my meals. Overall, my experience has been positive; I feel empowered and supported in my weight loss journey, thanks to the app’s engaging features and community support.
WeightWatchers offers several pricing plans, which can vary based on the level of support you choose. The basic plan is quite affordable, while the more comprehensive options, which include personal coaching and workshops, come at a higher price. I opted for the mid-tier plan, which I find to be a good balance between cost and the level of support I receive. The investment feels worthwhile, considering the resources and community access I gain.
The WeightWatchers app is regularly updated, which keeps the features fresh and relevant. I’ve noticed improvements in the food database and the addition of new recipes over time. Customer support is also commendable; I had a question about my subscription, and the response was prompt and helpful. The app also provides a comprehensive FAQ section, which addresses most common concerns.
As an American user, I take my privacy seriously, and I appreciate that the WeightWatchers app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. When registering, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my name, email, and weight goals, but I felt comfortable knowing that the app has a privacy policy in place to protect my data.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, I noticed that the app does not bombard me with ads, which is a relief. However, it does track my activity and food choices to provide personalized recommendations. I appreciate this feature, as it enhances my experience, but I remain cautious about how my data is used. Overall, I feel that WeightWatchers takes the necessary steps to ensure user privacy while providing a tailored experience.

the app and the program have made so many changes it's no wonder WW has been struggling financially. I'll admit, I'm still part of it but it's too focused on GLPs and their own exercise programs, which is totally a put off. AND I absolutely HATE that WW recipes don't come up in the food log, they never have and that makes no sense to me. I won't walk away yet because I'm afraid of going back to where I was, but it's going to happen at some point because of the frustration.

Used to be an average app, now it is barely functional. The layout is a mess! Hard to find stuff. App is not intuitive at all, and with no tutorial or directions on how to use, might as well just go old school and track points on paper. They are really pushing their extra $ classes for exercise. That dominates making other things hard to find. This review is only for their crummy app. WW is a 5 star for losing weight!

I HATE the new app! HATE IT! I want to be able to see the points I'm adding for meals while still being able to see the total points I've used so far for the day- on the same screen. Everything now takes more clicks than it used to, things are harder to find, just so frustrating. Please put it back. It wasn't perfect before but it was SO much better than it is now.

Been using the app for years. Weight Watchers is a great program, but the app itself is terribly designed. Not only is it difficult to learn how to use, they dramatically change the interface every couple of years so once you finally figure it out they make you figure it out again. WW really needs to hire a human factors engineer or someone with a background with human-computer interaction.

2/15/26 Addition: PLEASE put the daily summary back on the opening page!!! WW doesn't seem to care a bit about making this app user friendly. Each update results in less ability to customize and more clicking around to get to where I want to be. I pay a lot to be in WW so this is a tool I pay to use, but other than for tracking points, it's a fairly useless tool.
