3.6 Wix - Website Builder is a powerful tool that has transformed the way individuals and businesses create their online presence. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it caters to a wide range of users, from beginners to seasoned web developers. Here are some of the standout features that make Wix a go-to choice for website building:
As a freelance graphic designer, I often find myself needing to create websites for my clients. Wix has become my go-to platform for this purpose. Recently, I had a client who wanted a sleek, modern website to showcase their artwork. Using Wix, I was able to quickly set up a visually appealing site that highlighted their portfolio. Additionally, I use Wix for my own personal blog, where I share design tips and tutorials. The ease of use allows me to focus on content creation rather than getting bogged down in technical details.
The user interface of Wix is incredibly intuitive. Upon logging in, I was greeted with a clean dashboard that made navigation a breeze. The workflow is straightforward; I could easily switch between editing my site and previewing it in real-time. Performance-wise, I experienced minimal loading times, which is crucial when working on multiple projects. The overall feeling after using Wix is one of satisfaction and empowerment. I no longer dread the website creation process; instead, I look forward to it, knowing that I have a reliable tool at my disposal.
Wix offers a variety of pricing plans to suit different needs and budgets. The free plan is a great starting point for beginners, but I opted for the Combo plan, which is reasonably priced and removes Wix ads while providing a custom domain. This investment has paid off, as it enhances my professional image and allows me to focus on growing my business without distractions.
Wix is committed to providing regular updates and improvements to its platform. I’ve noticed new features being rolled out frequently, which keeps the tool fresh and relevant. Their customer support is also commendable; I reached out once with a question about SEO settings, and the response was prompt and helpful. The extensive knowledge base and community forums are additional resources that make troubleshooting easy.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any online service, including website builders like Wix. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, which is standard practice. However, I appreciated that Wix has a clear privacy policy outlining how my data is used and protected.
Wix does not bombard users with ads, which is a significant plus for me. Additionally, they have robust security measures in place, including SSL certificates for all websites, which helps protect user data and builds trust with visitors. I feel confident that my information and that of my clients are secure while using the platform.

Got this app months ago to play around with building a site. First time, I was able to open it, create a name, email account, all that. Tried coming back and every time, the app just will not open on my phone. I uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, nothing. Tried a browser access and it says the desktop version only edits and accesses. So what is the point of having a mobile app? All I currently have is a phone and won't people access sites through a phone? Very inconvenient.

Horrible! As UN-user friendly as it can be. The only reason I was considering a website builder is so I could do everything through my android phone. I figured in today's day and age this would be the default, but apparently I was wrong. You can only edit on a PC. If I am going on a PC, then I am just coding the site myself, so this is useless. Get with the times stupid Wix!

Something changed in the app and the features are not the same any more. It is very hard to list items now. I used to be able to upload images from my phone when listing a product but now I have to find media manager (no direct navigation to it), perform many clicks before I can upload images. Then I have to create a new product and again after many clicks, I can finally choose images for my listing. Also, I used to be able to easily access my site's products, now it's inconsistent.

I used to be able to add product photos from my phone quick and easy. Now it won't let me add any. I don't want to have to email or upload every photo to a computer to then add from a desktop. I would've picked a different web platform if this wasn't an option from the start. it's a bug that tons of people are having and it still isn't being fixed.

can't do email campaigns. deletes all my work. this app is already limited in what it can do but one of the things it's supposed to be able to do is compose email campaigns. I spent an hour composing an email only for it to get stuck forever on "saving" and then not being able to go forward and not even saving to the drafts. several things also are easily accidentally deleted while composing. if you press out of the keyboard area while adding text it just deletes everything you wrote.
