3.9 YouTube is not just a video-sharing platform; it’s a comprehensive multimedia experience that caters to a wide range of interests and needs. Here are some of its standout features that make it a must-have app for anyone who loves video content:
My daily routine often revolves around YouTube, whether I’m looking for a quick workout video in the morning or unwinding with a documentary in the evening. For instance, during my lunch breaks, I frequently dive into DIY projects or tech reviews to stay updated on the latest gadgets. The app has become my go-to source for both entertainment and education, seamlessly fitting into my busy lifestyle.
The user interface of YouTube is intuitive and user-friendly, making navigation a breeze. The home screen is well-organized, showcasing trending videos, subscriptions, and personalized recommendations. I appreciate how easy it is to switch between different categories, such as music, gaming, and news. The video playback quality is impressive, with options to adjust resolution based on my internet speed. Overall, my experience has been smooth, with minimal buffering and quick loading times, allowing me to enjoy content without interruptions.
YouTube is free to use, but it also offers a premium subscription that removes ads and provides additional features like offline viewing and background play. The subscription is reasonably priced, and I found it worth the investment, especially since I spend a significant amount of time on the app. The ad-free experience enhances my enjoyment, allowing me to focus solely on the content.
YouTube regularly updates its app to improve functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed enhancements in the search feature and the introduction of new content categories. The support system is also commendable; I once encountered an issue with my account, and the help center provided clear guidance, resolving my problem quickly. The community forums are another great resource for troubleshooting and tips.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and YouTube is no exception. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring a secure download from trusted sources. However, registration requires personal data, including an email address and date of birth, which can raise privacy concerns for some users.
YouTube does display ads, and it tracks user behavior to personalize these ads, which can feel intrusive. While I appreciate the tailored content, I am mindful of the data being collected. The app provides options to manage privacy settings, allowing users to control what information is shared. Overall, while YouTube offers a fantastic platform for video content, it’s essential to stay informed about privacy settings and data usage to ensure a safe experience.

The app is still one star... you guys still haven't fixed where if you're writing a comment and a commercial hits it deletes your comment. it doesn't do that on the computer, so it's something with your Android app. it replays shorts or long vids, commercials can contain x rate material, and you still have absurdly long ads mixed in. (It shouldn't be that hard to put a time cap...) I'll see your monthly service is way too expensive for the value. more than I pay for my Netflix.

I really enjoy using YouTube and I pay money for its premium features. I watch a lot on there, and I use it for tutorials for crafts and I listen to music. I am seriously considering leaving the platform, though, and seeking out the creators on alternative platforms if YT doesn't stop implementing AI features that I cannot turn off. I do not want a summary about every video, I don't want to enhance anything, I don't need that. It's annoying to see.

when I watch a video I can't rotate my phone sideways to get a bigger video. If I rotate my phone to watch a video it rotates the video in such a way that I can only see a small portion of the video on the bottom left side of my phone. Also, in this moment the video freezes and/or the touch function becomes unusable. Mostly it just freezes until I force close the app and reopen. Tried deleting/reinstalling, restarting and throwing my phone to the ground. Please help!! Send me a bug fix YouTube!

Current issue that I am unsure if it's supposed to be a new "feature" is now all videos you watch are collected into an automatic queue. This queue will then replay everything you just watched if you don't change the video fast enough. I have provided feedback several times and they haven't even bothered to respond with an email. Please tell me who actually finds that useful.

I like the YouTube app. I always have. My issue is that the area you go to in order to save videos to your different playlists was changed recently, and I don't like it. You can only save a video to one playlist at a time. It was like that some years ago, and people didn't like it then. Please change it back to the way it was about a month or two ago. It's REALLY annoying to save a video to one playlist at a time 😒😒
