3.9 Zero - Intermittent Fasting is not just another health app; it’s a comprehensive tool designed to help you embrace the intermittent fasting lifestyle. Here are some of its standout features:
My journey with Zero began during a particularly hectic work week. I was feeling sluggish and knew I needed to make a change. I downloaded the app on a Monday morning, excited to try intermittent fasting. Each day, I would set my fasting window to start at 8 PM and end at noon the next day. This routine fit seamlessly into my daily life, as I could enjoy my meals during lunch breaks and still have a social dinner with friends. On weekends, I sometimes adjusted my fasting window to accommodate brunch plans, showcasing the app's flexibility.
The user interface of Zero is sleek and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my current fasting status and the time remaining until my next meal. The workflow is intuitive; I can easily log my meals and track my fasting hours with just a few taps. The app performs smoothly, with no lag or crashes, which is crucial when I’m trying to quickly log my progress. Overall, using Zero has been a positive experience. It feels like having a personal coach in my pocket, guiding me through my fasting journey with ease and encouragement.
Zero offers a free version that includes basic features, which is great for beginners. However, for those looking to dive deeper into their fasting journey, the premium subscription unlocks advanced features like personalized coaching and detailed insights. The premium plan is reasonably priced, and I found it worth the investment for the additional resources and support it provides.
The developers of Zero are committed to improving the app continuously. I’ve noticed regular updates that enhance functionality and introduce new features. Customer support is responsive and helpful; I once had a question about syncing my data across devices, and they replied within a day with clear instructions. This level of support gives me confidence in the app and its ongoing development.
As an American user, I take my privacy seriously, and I appreciate that Zero is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring a level of credibility. The app requires minimal personal data for registration, which is a relief. I only needed to provide my email address, and I could start using the app right away. Importantly, Zero does not bombard users with ads, which is a significant plus for me. I also feel secure knowing that the app does not track my behavior outside of its platform, allowing me to focus on my health without worrying about my data being sold or misused. Overall, Zero prioritizes user privacy, making it a trustworthy choice for anyone looking to explore intermittent fasting.

I've been using this app for years and at first it was perfect. But now it barely lets you start or stop your fast and if you want to check how long you have or anything you have to open and close the app several times just to see unless you use the widget. Hopefully I can save my data and find a new app.

I used this app for a few years. It was snappy, clean, did what it needed. But over the last few months it has just become unusable. Starting / stopping fasts only works about half the time. It's slow and buggy, no matter my internet connection or when I rebooted. Avoid, there are other alternatives that actually work.

I used to really like the app, but it has become slow and glitchy recently. Often it would take up to a minute to load the app. Starting and stopping a fast was glitchy. I would click start or stop and nothing would happen. After a few tries it would finally register. At the moment it's no longer loading the main fast window. I've been trying to stop my fast for 10 minutes. closing/reopening the app, and other things, but it just won't open. Think I have to uninstall and find a new app.

Why does using the app require an internet connection? I just want to end my fast so I can eat but I've had to close the app multiple times to be able to load so I can end a fast, absolutely bad UX. If you really want my data then at just have it sync next time its able to, don't prevent me from ending my fast. Edit: I have gotten to the point of giving up on this app as the issue above continues and am now trying alternatives, I found one called Fast Times, that is free and works offline.

I've used this app for YEARS, but it's busted after the last update. I've dealt with some of the weirdness with the timers being off if you don't use the app for a while, that's fine. but now I can't even open the damn thing. I can KINDA use it with the widget, as in I can stop and start it from said widget, but I can't correct times or change it from my previous setting. the app just straight up doesn't open now. no number of resetting or uninstalling and reinstalling helps. PLEASE FIX THIS! 😭
