Extremely unreliable. Drivers cancel, or delay pick up times and then cancel (which is worse). Drivers can claim to be at the pick up point on the app, when the map show they clearly aren't (they'll be 5 minutes away and still claim to be at the pick up point, try and make you walk to them, and then cancel when you're obviously not there). It doesn't matter how much time you give them, they will screw you over. Choose anything else. Trains, buses, Uber, literally anything is better.

Bolt is a very useful app that I'm very thankful for. However, the amount of drivers that will accept your request, wait 5-10 minutes, then cancel is insane. Worse though, is the amount of drivers that accept your request and just drive away from you, hoping you will cancel. If there was a feature to rate drivers who cancelled the ride or you cancelled before getting picked up would be great. You don't get a discount if they waste your time, so at least being able to rate them would help

My residence is on Oahu, Hawaii and bolt is not available there, but when I travel to other places like Thailand, I sometimes used bolt. Recently, when I went to Pattaya floating market and book ride back to my hotel, five of the rides were cancelled by their drivers after they accept, some refuse to drive, then looked up online, this seems to be frequent issues by bolt driver at tourist location in recent times. When I tip, they issue a new charge and cancel old one instead of charging the tip

Their app has some functionality that doesn't work. For example, they rolled out Family Profile, which enables you to add people to your profile to share billing and ride details. When I try to add the card I've used for dozens of trips over the past several months, it says I have to complete a trip to use the card. When I reach out to customer support, 5 agents told me I have to use the card to add it to the profile and nobody has actually helped solve my problem. 👎

Only had a few rides using Bolt. The rides I had were affordable, clean, safe, and professional. However we had a lot of trouble with drivers not accepting requested rides of varying distances, accepting and then cancelling before they arrived, or arriving for a reserved ride and then cancelling within the minute it took us to talk to their car because they did not park at the specified arrival point. The last example almost made us late for our flight.
