4.5 GoPro Quik: Video Editor is a powerful tool designed for both amateur and professional videographers. It offers a range of features that make video editing not only accessible but also enjoyable. Here are some of the standout features that I found particularly useful:
As someone who loves capturing moments on video, I often find myself reaching for GoPro Quik in various scenarios. Whether it’s a weekend trip to the mountains, a family gathering, or even just a casual day out with friends, this app has become my go-to video editing tool. For example, during a recent camping trip, I recorded hours of footage, from setting up the tent to roasting marshmallows by the fire. When I returned home, I used Quik to compile the best clips into a cohesive story that I could share with my friends and family. The app made it easy to relive those memories and share them in a polished format.
The user interface of GoPro Quik is intuitive and user-friendly, making it accessible for anyone, regardless of their editing experience. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that guided me through the editing process seamlessly. The workflow is straightforward: I simply import my videos, choose a template, and let the app do its magic. The performance is impressive; the app processes videos quickly, and I never experienced any lag, even with high-resolution footage. Overall, my experience with Quik has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s a joy to use, and the results are always satisfying, allowing me to create professional-looking videos in a fraction of the time it would take with traditional editing software.
GoPro Quik offers a free version that provides access to basic features, which is great for casual users. However, for those looking to unlock the full potential of the app, there’s a subscription model available. The premium version includes advanced editing tools, additional templates, and an expanded music library. I found the pricing to be reasonable, especially considering the quality of the features offered. It’s an investment that pays off for anyone serious about video editing.
GoPro is known for its commitment to improving user experience, and Quik is no exception. The app receives regular updates that introduce new features and enhance existing ones. I’ve noticed improvements in the music library and additional templates since I first started using the app. In terms of support, GoPro provides a comprehensive help center and community forums where users can find answers to common questions. I appreciate the responsiveness of their customer service, which has been helpful whenever I encountered issues.
As an American user, security and privacy are always top of mind when using apps like GoPro Quik. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. Upon registration, I was required to provide minimal personal data, which is standard for most apps. I appreciate that GoPro is transparent about how they use this data, and I didn’t encounter any intrusive ads or tracking behavior while using the app. The privacy policy is clear, and I felt secure knowing that my information was handled responsibly. Overall, I feel confident using GoPro Quik, knowing that my privacy is respected while I create and share my videos.

Can't do basic things like list the media files in the unit. App says there are new files but continuously can't find them and states can't download when I tap Download. I should be able to get the files onto my phone with this app so it's not very useful in its current state. The delete options in settings don't work either. I shouldn't need a subscription to anything just to accomplish these elementary tasks.

It's a cool app but I don't like that it doesn't allow you to crop pictures and if you're taking too long to edit, it doesn't automatically save your edits. For the annual price, I was expecting a little more freedom for editing or maybe make it easi6 for you to add your own music but overall, it's my go to recap/highlight app as I don't know many others

Terrible app; won't reliably connect to my Hero 13 (despite seeing it). it'll turn on my GoPro, but then not connect. even if it does connect, I then can't see the videos themselves to download off my camera. at this point, I either erase the SD card in its entirety, delete individual videos on the camera itself, or I have to plug the SD card directly into my computer to pull the files I want. I don't know what the deal is as the iOS version worked great; Android not so much...

App used to be great. Now it the auto edit feature will not work. It will just get stuck on the analyzing footage screen for hours and never create the edit. I've used this feature for years up until recently when it decided to no longer work. A quick Google of the issue will show that it's quite common. sucks even more when it's a service you're paying a subscription fee for. Fix the issue please.

Worked great until the latest update. Now it gets stuck in whatever mode its on and won't work properly or turn off. If it turns off, it goes back to video and will only record or have hilights added. I'm scuba diving in the Bahamas with no way to take photos/videos now. I thought it was just my camera that had gone bad until someone else's did the same thing.
