4.0 Hiya: Spam Blocker & Caller ID is a powerful tool designed to enhance your phone experience by filtering out unwanted calls and providing essential caller information. Here are some of its standout features:
As someone who juggles both personal and professional calls daily, I often find myself inundated with spam calls. One typical scenario occurred last week when I was preparing for an important meeting. My phone rang incessantly with calls from numbers I didn’t recognize. Instead of answering each one out of curiosity, I relied on Hiya to filter them out. The app successfully blocked several spam calls, allowing me to concentrate on my work without distractions. Additionally, during a family gathering, I received a call from a number that Hiya identified as a potential scam. I was able to inform my family about the call, which sparked a discussion about the importance of being cautious with unknown numbers.
The user interface of Hiya is clean and intuitive, making it easy for anyone to navigate. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a straightforward dashboard that displayed recent calls, spam reports, and caller ID information. The workflow is seamless; I can quickly access features like call blocking and spam reporting with just a few taps. Performance-wise, Hiya operates smoothly without draining my phone’s battery, which is a significant plus. After using the app for a few weeks, I felt a sense of relief knowing that I was protected from unwanted calls. The overall experience has been positive, and I appreciate how Hiya has simplified my communication by filtering out the noise.
Hiya offers a free version that provides essential spam blocking and caller ID features, which is perfect for casual users. However, for those who want an ad-free experience and additional features, there’s a premium subscription available. The premium version is reasonably priced, and I found it worth the investment for the added peace of mind and enhanced functionality. The subscription model is flexible, allowing users to choose between monthly or annual plans, which is convenient for different budgets.
Hiya is regularly updated to improve its spam detection capabilities and user experience. I’ve noticed that the app frequently adds new features and enhancements based on user feedback, which shows that the developers are committed to providing a top-notch service. Customer support is also readily available through the app, with a comprehensive FAQ section and the option to submit inquiries directly. I had a minor issue with the app once, and the support team responded promptly, resolving my concern efficiently. This level of support adds to my overall satisfaction with the app.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to apps that handle personal data. Hiya is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide minimal personal information, which is a relief compared to other apps that demand extensive data. Hiya does not sell user data to third parties, which is a significant concern for many users today. Additionally, the app does not display intrusive ads or engage in excessive tracking behavior, allowing me to use it without feeling like my privacy is compromised. Overall, Hiya prioritizes user security, making it a trustworthy choice for anyone looking to manage their calls effectively.

Constantly crashing .... I've checked for updates and there are none. I've uninstalled and reinstalled no changes. I've gone to the link for Gleap provided in the response to others complaints and it is NO help. I've now sent an email to their Support, will see what they say. Sadly, I think it's time to find a new app that actually works.

The problem with this app is it works great for a couple months then all the little annoying bugs start creepy crawling their way in. this is the second and last time i've had to cancel this subscription. It started the exact same way. No matter how many times i turn off that STUPID after/postcall notification it wont go away. it was down hill from there. multiple calls FROM MY CONTACTS... DECLINED!! but hey no worries i received all the missed call notificatiations.... A WHOLE HOUR LATER!

Had this app for years and its only gotten worse. App keeps crashing, even after uninstalling and reinstalled. Update 6/29. crashes stopped but all of sudden my wife's and sons calls aren't coming through. I changed nothing. I uninstalled the app and the calls came through. Ive also referred this app to other people but now I'm regretting it. Not sure whats going on but if changed are being made then testing needs to take place first. Could be very bad if loved ones calls cant get through.

I love Hiya as years ago I was getting 10-15 spam calls a day and now I only get a handful a week. It was absolutely worth the premium subscription. However, now with the new update it doesn't work. Even though I have it set to allow my contacts through, it routinely blocks them, even my favorites. I had to set my phone's default phone app as primary and use Hiya as a screener which isn't what I want. I want to block spam calls entirely, not just get warned about them. Will cancel if not fixed.

This app is fantastic for identifying whether a call is from a real person or a spammer. It offers simple prompts to guide you on what to do with each call, making it user-friendly. Plus, it's one of the most affordable apps I've tried. Usually, I don't bother leaving comments on apps, but this one stood out so much that I spent 10 minutes texting—something I rarely do because I'm not the quickest typist.
