4.7 OBD Fusion (Car Diagnostics) is a powerful tool for car enthusiasts and everyday drivers alike. This app transforms your smartphone into a comprehensive diagnostic tool, allowing you to monitor your vehicle's performance in real-time. Here are some of its standout features:
As a car owner, I often find myself in situations where understanding my vehicle's performance is crucial. One memorable instance was during a long road trip. Halfway through, I noticed a slight drop in power while accelerating. I quickly pulled over and connected my phone to the OBD Fusion app. Within moments, I was able to check the live data and discovered that my fuel trim was off, indicating a potential issue with the fuel system. This immediate access to diagnostic information allowed me to adjust my driving and find a nearby mechanic before the problem escalated.
Another scenario was during routine maintenance. I used OBD Fusion to generate a vehicle health report before taking my car in for servicing. The report highlighted a few minor issues that I was able to discuss with my mechanic, ensuring that I wasn't just getting unnecessary repairs. This proactive approach not only saved me money but also gave me peace of mind knowing my vehicle was in good shape.
The user interface of OBD Fusion is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made navigation a breeze. The dashboard customization feature is particularly impressive; I was able to drag and drop various widgets to create a dashboard that suited my needs perfectly. The app's performance is smooth, with minimal lag when switching between screens or accessing real-time data. I appreciated how quickly it connected to my vehicle's OBD-II port, allowing me to start monitoring without any hassle.
Overall, my experience with OBD Fusion has been overwhelmingly positive. The app not only provides essential diagnostic information but also empowers me to take control of my vehicle's health. I feel more connected to my car and more informed about its performance, which has made me a more responsible driver.
OBD Fusion offers a free version with limited features, which is a great way to test the app before committing. The full version, which unlocks all features, is available for a one-time purchase. I found the pricing to be reasonable considering the wealth of information and functionality the app provides. It’s a small investment for the peace of mind that comes with knowing my vehicle is running smoothly.
The developers of OBD Fusion are committed to providing regular updates, which is evident in the app's performance and feature enhancements. I’ve noticed several updates since I started using it, each improving functionality and adding new features. Additionally, the support team is responsive and helpful. I had a question about a specific feature, and I received a detailed response within a day, which made me feel valued as a user.
When it comes to security and privacy, OBD Fusion takes user concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards set by these platforms. Upon installation, I was required to create an account, but the personal data requirements were minimal, which I appreciated. The app does not ask for sensitive information, making it feel secure.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, I was pleased to find that OBD Fusion is free from intrusive advertisements. The app does not track my location or personal data beyond what is necessary for its functionality, which is a significant plus for privacy-conscious users like myself. Overall, I feel confident using OBD Fusion, knowing that my data is handled responsibly.

Great app but unless I'm missing something there is no option for gauges in Android Auto. That was my only reason for purchasing this app and it turns out it's the same output in Android Auto as the free app without paying. The output is delayed as well so much so that the RPM is back to idle before the increase even registers. I'm using a VEEPEAK adapter too, not one of those cheap ones so that's not the issue. I'm pretty disappointed but hopeful the devs will add gauges.

Update: I have once again found a fix. I turned off mobile data. I have it connecting 3 out of 3 times. Update: I am once again unable to connect to my wifi OBD2 device. I am still able to connect with different software (Car Scanner), so I don't think it's entirely a hardware issue. Ok, so following the instructions imbedded in a different app (OBD Mary), I found that by disabling battery optimization I could get it to work every time. You may want to include this information in your app.

keeps disconnecting from Bluetooth OBD2 dongle, have used this app for many years but now all the sudden it keeps disconnecting from the dongle. they don't go works with other OBD2 apps but for some reason it quit working with this one. it will connect I'll start to try to read codes and then it disconnects every time. makes it unusable.

I'm using a cheap little plug in to the OBD connector called Dicknos Elm327 mini Bluetooth that I got for 8 bucks from Amazon for two of them and it works better than any other cheap scanner it's a 100% upgrade because now I can monitor the cooling temperature sensor the O2 readings the maff and map readings as well as the catalyst and the EVAP system while all the car is running and it's accurate great app it was worth the $5 thank you

⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) OBD Fusion is an excellent technical diagnostic app for monitoring my 2008 Toyota Prius, paired via a Veepeak OBDCheck BLE. It can be finicky to connect if booted in the wrong sequence. It has a steep learning curve and a complex interface. Tracking hybrid data points like block voltages or inverter temps requires a paid "Enhanced Diagnostics" add-on. Still, as a scientist, I find the unlocked tracking resolution and logging granularity to be an excellent analytical value!
