4.6 Opera GX: Gaming Browser is not just another web browser; it’s a tailored experience designed specifically for gamers. Here are some of its standout features that make it a must-try for anyone who spends a significant amount of time online gaming or browsing gaming content.
As a passionate gamer, I often find myself in various scenarios where Opera GX proves to be an invaluable tool. For instance, during my weekend gaming sessions, I frequently stream my gameplay on Twitch. The GX Control feature allows me to allocate resources effectively, ensuring that my stream runs smoothly while I engage with my audience. Additionally, I often browse gaming forums and watch tutorial videos on YouTube. The integrated Discord feature lets me chat with friends while keeping the browser open, making it easy to coordinate our next gaming session without missing a beat.
The user interface of Opera GX is sleek and modern, with a dark theme that is easy on the eyes during long gaming sessions. Navigating through the browser feels intuitive, and the feature workflow is seamless. I particularly appreciate the sidebar, which provides quick access to my favorite gaming sites and social media platforms. Performance-wise, Opera GX is impressive; it loads pages quickly and handles multiple tabs without any noticeable lag. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The browser feels like it was designed with gamers in mind, and it has become my go-to choice for both gaming and general browsing.
One of the best aspects of Opera GX is that it is completely free to use. There are no hidden fees or premium subscriptions required to access its core features. This makes it an attractive option for gamers who want a high-performance browser without the financial commitment. The absence of ads also enhances the overall experience, allowing me to focus on my gaming and browsing without distractions.
Opera GX is regularly updated, ensuring that users have access to the latest features and security enhancements. The support team is responsive and helpful, with a dedicated help center that addresses common issues and questions. I’ve reached out for assistance a couple of times, and each time, I received prompt and informative responses. This level of support gives me confidence in using the browser for my daily needs.
When it comes to security and privacy, Opera GX takes several measures to protect its users, which is particularly important for American users concerned about data privacy. The browser is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it can be downloaded from reputable sources. Registration is straightforward, requiring minimal personal data, which is a relief compared to other browsers that often ask for extensive information.
Opera GX also prioritizes user privacy by blocking ads and trackers by default. This means that my browsing experience is not only faster but also more secure, as I don’t have to worry about invasive tracking behavior. Overall, I feel confident using Opera GX, knowing that my data is protected while I enjoy my gaming and browsing activities.

Ad Blocker is still not working properly. I prefer this browser for both my phone & PC uses, but the lack of ads is what drew me to it in the first place. However, for the past month I've been getting hit with redirects & obnoxious ads popping up everywhere, which I partly thought was due to the ad-arms race, but no progress has been made.

It's serviceable. I use GX on my PC, and gave been an Opera user since the early 2000s. I find myself missing features that the regular version has such as Bookmarks. GX is fine. Privacy features seem fine. Falls short of other browsers in that area but fine for most users. I still prefer it to most other mobile browsers but I think their regular Opera browser tends to better in the feature set overall, especially on the mobile platform.

I'm enjoying the app along with the browser on PC. My problem is that even if you connect both the PC and your phone with each other, you still have to manually enter the passwords on mobile, it doesn't really transfer. It feels fast, but also has a weird time loading images. In addition it's been a pain trying to transfer my mobile chrome to mobile Opera as well, since I have to do it manually. Hopefully after they work it out I can do a full transfer. Since Chrome is going to stop ad blocks.

I was really hoping that I would be able to just swap back and forth between my phone and computer seamlessly. That's almost the entire point of Flow. But here's one major thing missing: Bookmarks. I cannot access the bookmarks I made on PC through the mobile app. Looking into it, that just seems to be how it works. The majority of other browsers that have an app version let you access those bookmarks easily. Im going to have to switch away until that gets added. A complete deal breaker for me

While I do love this browser, PC just being better. Either you are scamming or misleading people or something. You have a whole category of console games which are labeled "free" yet when you go to them, every single one has a price attached to it, I've got the screenshots to prove this as well. I'm pretty sure that doing something like that has to be illegal. Don't add a FREE label to items which are not free to obtain. Something very sketchy is going on with you guys and it needs to stop now
