4.4 Pinterest is a visual discovery platform that has transformed the way we gather inspiration and ideas. With its unique features, it allows users to curate their interests and share them with a global community. Here are some of the core features that make Pinterest stand out:
My journey with Pinterest began when I was planning my wedding. I was overwhelmed with ideas and needed a way to organize everything. Pinterest became my go-to app for inspiration. I created boards for everything from floral arrangements to dress styles, and it helped me visualize my dream wedding. Beyond wedding planning, I use Pinterest for home decor ideas, meal planning, and even workout routines. Whenever I feel stuck creatively, I turn to Pinterest to spark new ideas and get motivated.
The user interface of Pinterest is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through various categories and boards. The home feed is a delightful mix of pins tailored to my interests, and I love how I can scroll endlessly through beautiful images. The workflow is seamless; I can save a pin with just a tap, and organizing them into boards is straightforward. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly, with minimal loading times. Overall, using Pinterest feels like flipping through a beautifully curated magazine, and I always come away inspired.
Pinterest is free to use, which is one of its most appealing aspects. There are no hidden fees or premium subscriptions required to access its core features. However, users can opt for Pinterest Ads if they want to promote their content or products, but this is entirely optional and not necessary for everyday users.
Pinterest regularly updates its app to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I appreciate how they listen to user feedback and implement changes accordingly. The support system is also commendable; I once had a question about a feature, and their help center provided clear and concise answers. Additionally, their social media presence is active, which makes it easy to stay informed about updates and new features.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Pinterest takes these concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards. When registering, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my email address and a password, which is standard for most apps. Pinterest also allows users to adjust their privacy settings, giving me control over who can see my boards and pins.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, Pinterest does use targeted advertising based on my interests and interactions. While this can feel intrusive at times, I appreciate that the ads are often relevant to my interests. Pinterest provides transparency about how they use data, and I feel comfortable knowing that I can manage my privacy settings to limit tracking if I choose to do so. Overall, Pinterest strikes a good balance between providing a personalized experience and respecting user privacy.

I've been using pintrest for 10+ years, and I used to love it. It was a great way to discover new artists, and I was impressed by how good the algorithm was at finding things I'd like. However, the excess of AI art is ruining the app and making it borderline unusable. I don't want to see any AI content, but my feed remains full of it no matter how many times I click "not interested." Please do something about this.

Love(d) this app. Haven't been on in a few years, but holy cow, did it change ... What happened!? It's almost 100% ads and shop links now. Nearly unusable. I used to find some unique blogs/articles/ideas not found in most of the big search engines and was hoping it was still a good place for unique takes, but now I see it's no longer Pintrest, it's Pintrash.

It's a good app, but there are a few bugs that need to be fixed. Anytime I go to make a post, or create a collage, it freezes, and sometimes if I try to save the collage to come back to it, it won't save, and I lose my progress. And then sometimes it wont let me post. Overall its a very good app and easy to use. But if the team could fix the bugs that would be great!

I hate how a pop up shows up with options to send a picture every time I download a pin. I keep accidentally sending pins to people 😂😅 other than that, way too many ads. I see more ads in my feed than regular pictures. The notification section has been broken for a long time. I'll get a notification on my phone that someone likes my comment, but it won't show up in my notifications. Nothing shows up anymore. When I get likes, when someone saves my pin, nothing.

The amount of ads is just too much! I can barely see pins because the ads almost outnumber them. There is at least one ad in view on the screen at all times. For every 3-4 pins, there are 2-4 ads. You don't think that's a bit excessive?! It looks like a wall of ads rather than pins. This is just ridiculous! Also, it's harder to move pins and sections around using the organize feature now. Sometimes they don't move at all, or they move too fast and instantly to the top or bottom.
