4.6 The "Ring - Always Home" app is a remarkable tool that enhances home security and provides peace of mind. Here are some of its standout features:
Using the "Ring - Always Home" app has become an integral part of my daily routine. One of the most common scenarios is when I leave for work in the morning. As I lock my door, I quickly check the app to ensure everything is secure. During the day, I receive motion alerts that keep me informed about any activity around my home. Just last week, I was alerted to a delivery at my doorstep. I was able to thank the delivery person through the app, which felt surprisingly personal.
Another scenario is during family gatherings. I often host friends and family, and the app allows me to monitor the front door without having to leave the party. If someone arrives, I can greet them through the app, ensuring they feel welcomed even before they step inside. This feature has made hosting much more enjoyable and stress-free.
The user interface of the "Ring - Always Home" app is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that makes navigation a breeze. The live video feed loads quickly, and the motion alerts are easy to access. I appreciate how the app categorizes notifications, allowing me to filter through them efficiently. The overall performance is impressive; I’ve experienced minimal lag, even when streaming video. The app’s design feels modern and polished, which enhances the overall user experience. After using it for several months, I can confidently say that it has exceeded my expectations in terms of functionality and ease of use.
The "Ring - Always Home" app is free to download, but it does require a subscription for some advanced features, such as cloud video storage. The pricing for the subscription is quite reasonable, starting at around $3 per month or $30 per year. This investment is well worth it for the peace of mind that comes with having access to recorded footage and extended features. I find that the cost is justified, especially considering the security benefits it provides.
Ring frequently updates the app to enhance functionality and address any bugs. I’ve noticed improvements in video quality and app responsiveness with each update. The support team is also commendable; I had a minor issue with my device connection, and their customer service was prompt and helpful. They provided me with step-by-step guidance, which resolved my issue quickly. Overall, I feel supported as a user, which adds to my positive experience with the app.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that deals with home surveillance. The "Ring - Always Home" app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, making it accessible to a wide range of users. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, including my email and address, which is standard for security apps. However, I appreciate that Ring emphasizes the importance of data protection and offers two-factor authentication for added security.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, I have not encountered intrusive advertisements while using the app. Ring does collect data to improve its services, but they are transparent about their privacy policy, which reassures me as a user. Overall, I feel that Ring takes the necessary steps to protect my privacy while providing a reliable and effective home security solution.

go with a different company, for cameras, doorbells and security. This has been problems for the whole 5 years I've had it. never works when it's needed. always slow and behind. video quality? never heard of him. I had three packages taken off my porch did it video any of them? no it did not. but you can bet your bottom dollar that it will record EVERY car that drives by. nevermind all the features to specify what movement should be ignored, when it should record and notify, none of that works.

Overall this camera does what it says. We haven't had problems with it missing people directly on our porch. However there are so many missed events, the notifications are very delayed, and the camera quality is pretty poor when zooming in especially. It misses things that aren't that far away like a car pulling into the end of my driveway and doesnt notify us until a minute after the doorbell rings. Overall, good not great and we're looking for other options.

App is super glitchy. When you delete a video, instead of going to the previous video or the next video, it jumps to the very beginning of that day. If you delete another video, it jumps to the beginning of the PREVIOUS day. I then have to go through an entire day's worth of videos to get caught up to current again. Hate this app and only use it because I don't have a choice. Considering switching to a different video doorbell altogether just because of the horrible user interface.

For the most part RING has been a good security/camera system. The new updates made the RING app so much better. So when this new update came out, myself & lots others here in the reviews we're thinking it was going to be great. RING might as well built a time machine to go back to 2019. They removed so many features & Geo fencing isn't recognizing me anymore. I also upgraded my yearly subscription so I'm paying twice more for 24/7 recording, but the app did not update to this new 24/7 feature.

App worked great till a couple months ago. Now notifications are pointless if they even come through timely. The doorbell ring no longer works as a notification on the phone, only through the doorbell itself, there is no longer a video preview, the app does not open when you click on the notification, and on the rare occasion that it does open it brings you to a whole new live view rather than the footage it notified you about. The app has become pointless for notifications.
