3.8 Talkatone: Texting & Calling is a versatile communication app that has quickly become a staple in my daily life. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it offers a seamless experience for both texting and calling. Here are some of the core features that stand out:
My experience with Talkatone has been nothing short of transformative. I primarily use it for both personal and professional communication. For instance, during a recent family trip, I relied on Talkatone to keep in touch with my relatives back home. The free calling feature allowed me to share our adventures without incurring international charges. Additionally, in my work life, I often need to communicate with clients who are overseas. Using Talkatone, I can make calls without worrying about my phone plan's limitations, which has significantly improved my productivity.
The user interface of Talkatone is intuitive and straightforward, making it easy for anyone to navigate. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made finding contacts and sending messages a breeze. The workflow is seamless; I can switch between texting and calling with just a tap. Performance-wise, I’ve experienced minimal lag, even when using the app on a slower Wi-Fi connection. The sound quality during calls is impressive, and I’ve had no issues with dropped calls. Overall, my feelings after using Talkatone are overwhelmingly positive; it has become an essential tool in my communication arsenal.
Talkatone is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage. While the app does offer in-app purchases for additional features, such as removing ads or obtaining a premium phone number, I find the free version sufficient for my needs. The ability to communicate without incurring costs is a game-changer, especially for those on a budget.
The developers of Talkatone are proactive in providing updates and support. I’ve noticed regular updates that enhance the app’s functionality and fix any bugs. Whenever I’ve had questions or encountered issues, the customer support team has been responsive and helpful. This level of support gives me confidence in the app’s reliability and longevity.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when choosing a communication app. Talkatone is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During the registration process, I was required to provide minimal personal information, which is a relief compared to other apps that demand extensive data. Talkatone does display ads, but I appreciate that they are not overly intrusive. Additionally, the app has a clear privacy policy that outlines how my data is used, which is reassuring. Overall, I feel secure using Talkatone, knowing that my personal information is protected while I enjoy its features.

It seems many of us are having log in issues w/ security check or app version. I've contacted support but only get a robotic response claiming it's on my end despite no change in 10 yrs. EDIT: After much try & error w/ other methods, I deleted app data/cache, deleted all VPN profiles via mobile connections (even though they weren't in use), switched to my 2nd router, attempted log in w/ talkatone number ONLY, got code in email. Then logged in successfully. Hope this can help someone!

I was very pleased at first, I've had my stable number since 2022. but, all of a sudden, I got a text msg saying I had 5 days to make a call, as I went in to my app, I was weirdly signed out, and cannot go in without updating or downloading, and I'm currently with updates and my app is downloaded. So, from a 5 star to a 2 star rating is drastic, but, that's how drastic they decided to log me off and block my way in. There's no need for that, when I was not notified beforehand.

this used to be such a great app and then I don't know what happened but suddenly it just stopped working in certain situations. unfortunately those situations happen to be trying to log into new devices. this is now happened to me twice, I got a new tablet and was unable to login. now, two days ago I got a new phone. now I'm being told that the app version was not able to perform a security check. that sounds like a flaw in design or they're just not keeping up with new technology.

07/01/26-STILL canNOT use the app! All my money, lost. Can't access any accounts. Can't log in or sign up for a new account. Customer service takes, FOREVER, to respond to your requests, and are a bunch of idiots! Sent a screen recording and screenshots of the error messages and trouble I'm having with their app, and they gave me some bogus excuse, had nothing to do with any of the information I gave them and read as if they didn't even read or look at my email and the information I sent.

New edit: after their reply, I have tried to contact support directly but no use. I don't understand how for the last year everything has worked oerfect and thr premium sub worked great. Now they are still taking payment for premium yet after a few inbound calls it tells me I have reached my limit for inbound calls but in total I haven't even used it that much. its to the point I've downloaded another call app that doesn't have limits its not perfect but I'm not cut off after a few calls.
