4.7 The "Apartments & Rentals - Zillow" app is a powerful tool for anyone looking to find their next home. With a user-friendly interface and a plethora of features, it stands out in the crowded real estate market. Here are some of its core features that make it a must-have for renters and buyers alike:
As someone who frequently relocates for work, I often find myself in need of a reliable app to help me navigate the rental market. Recently, I was tasked with moving to a new city for a job opportunity, and I turned to the "Apartments & Rentals - Zillow" app to assist me in my search. I started by entering my desired location and budget, and within minutes, I was presented with a plethora of options. I used the interactive map feature to explore different neighborhoods, which was incredibly helpful in understanding the area better. I also appreciated the ability to save my favorite listings and set alerts for new properties that matched my criteria.
The user interface of the "Apartments & Rentals - Zillow" app is intuitive and easy to navigate. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made it simple to start my search. The filtering options are robust, allowing me to narrow down my choices based on various factors such as price, number of bedrooms, and amenities. I found the performance to be smooth, with quick loading times and no glitches during my usage. Overall, my experience was positive, and I felt empowered to make informed decisions about my potential new home.
One of the best aspects of the "Apartments & Rentals - Zillow" app is that it is completely free to use. There are no hidden fees or subscription costs, which is a significant advantage for users who are already managing moving expenses. The app generates revenue through ads, but this does not detract from the user experience, as the ads are relevant and unobtrusive.
Zillow regularly updates its app to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I noticed improvements in the virtual tour functionality and the addition of more detailed property descriptions in recent updates. Customer support is readily available through the app, and I found their response time to be prompt when I had a question about a listing. This level of support adds to the overall reliability of the app.
When it comes to security and privacy, the "Apartments & Rentals - Zillow" app takes several measures to protect its users. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, users are required to provide personal information, such as their name and email address, but Zillow is transparent about how this data is used. They do not sell personal information to third parties, which is a significant concern for many users.
Additionally, the app does display ads, but they are tailored to user preferences based on search behavior. While some users may be wary of tracking, Zillow's approach is relatively standard in the industry. Overall, I felt comfortable using the app, knowing that my data was handled responsibly and that I could easily manage my privacy settings within the app.

On the home app, the rental app, and the website, it is impossible to access your messages to sellers. I receive an email saying there is a reply to my message and when i click on my inbox, there are no messages. On the forums, this has been an issue for years now. If I can't communicate with sellers or schedule a tour, I can't actually get the place I'm looking at.

App keeps defaulting to rentals that do not allow pets. I have my filters set to show only rentals that do allow pets. This has led to multiple disappointing moments where we think we've found a possible rental, but it's not the case. Another issue is that some rentals will stop appearing on the app. You can still find them on the website, but not in the app. Uninstalling.

Like a lot of people, I need to keep my kids in a particular school district. The app lets me search that way, but the emails send me nearby rentals outside that zone. It would also be good to have "contact manager" under "pets" as a search option, since that includes about 90% of listings and there's no other way to screen out the "no pets" listings.

I have to use the Google button to sign in multiple times in a single session, without ever leaving the app. I'll make a small amount of progress but then get error when submitting applications it shows applications in progress even tho there was an error so which is correct? I paid a subscription for this and its been nothing but headaches and I get the feeling its more to do with the google link stuff

I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed with the vetting process for rental listings on this app. I see duplexes listed as apartments or houses instead of townhouses constantly. I also see listings with no interior photos! Red flag. Part of the problem is there is just so little in the affordable range anymore that these misrepresented listings stand out. Forget about filtering by any of the checkbox filters provided because property managers simply don't utilize them.
