4.7 The "Remote Control for Roku TV" app is a game-changer for anyone who owns a Roku device. It brings a plethora of features that enhance the viewing experience, making it more convenient and enjoyable. Here are some of the standout features that I found particularly useful:
As a busy individual who loves to unwind with some quality TV time, I often find myself reaching for the "Remote Control for Roku TV" app in various scenarios. For instance, after a long day at work, I like to kick back and watch my favorite shows. Instead of fumbling around for the remote, I simply grab my phone, open the app, and start browsing. Whether I’m in the kitchen preparing dinner or lounging on the couch, the app is always within arm's reach.
Another scenario is when I have friends over for a movie night. Instead of passing around the remote, I can control everything from my phone, making it easy to switch between different streaming services and adjust the volume without interrupting the flow of the evening. The voice control feature comes in handy here, allowing me to quickly find a movie by just saying its name, which impresses my friends and keeps the night fun and engaging.
The user interface of the "Remote Control for Roku TV" app is intuitive and straightforward. Upon opening the app, I am greeted with a clean layout that resembles the Roku interface, making it easy to navigate. The workflow is smooth; I can switch between channels, adjust settings, and even search for content without any lag. The app performs exceptionally well, with quick response times that make it feel like I’m using the actual remote. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The convenience of having a remote in my pocket has transformed how I interact with my Roku TV, making it a must-have app for any Roku user.
The "Remote Control for Roku TV" app is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage. While there are some ads present, they are not overly intrusive and do not detract from the overall experience. For those who prefer an ad-free experience, there is an option to upgrade to a premium version, which is reasonably priced. This flexibility allows users to choose how they want to engage with the app based on their preferences.
The developers of the "Remote Control for Roku TV" app are proactive in providing updates and support. I’ve noticed regular updates that enhance functionality and fix any bugs, which shows their commitment to improving user experience. Additionally, the support team is responsive and helpful. I had a minor issue with the app once, and their customer service was quick to assist me, ensuring that I could continue enjoying my Roku experience without any hiccups.
As an American user, security and privacy are always top of mind when using apps. The "Remote Control for Roku TV" app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. I appreciate that the app does not require extensive personal data for registration; a simple sign-in with my Roku account suffices. This minimal data requirement is reassuring, as it reduces the risk of my personal information being compromised.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, I have not noticed any aggressive tracking or data collection practices while using the app. The ads are relatively benign and do not interfere with my usage. Overall, I feel secure using the "Remote Control for Roku TV" app, knowing that my privacy is respected while I enjoy my favorite shows and movies.

This is by far the best roku remote app. BY FAR. I can't give it 5 stars though, because it often wont open. I have to uninstall and reinstall like twice a week. It always works for a couple days, then boom... nothing. I've tried ALL the other apps but they're complete garbage, if you could fix whatever problem causes this, that would be great, but it's totally not a deal breaker, as its the ONLY app of its kind that works at all.

App works well with my TV. I usually watch the TV daily with headphones so I don't disturb my wife. I have to route my headphones through the phone app instead of the TV as there is no direct Bluetooth option. The only thing I HATE, if I'm listening to the TV with my headphones and have to pause my show to do something (bathroom, take dog out, etc.), any alert that comes in my phone unpauses it. This is very annoying and I always have to rewind. Please fix this automatic unpausing. Thank You!

I love the fact that I can use the Roku remote app on my phone to control all of my Roku TVs. It works well for the most part. What I don't like is the new center area where the arrows that make the cursor move up and down and left and right are gone and now there is a big purple block that I have to tap at the top, bottom, on the left side or the right side of it to move the cursor. It's not as easy to hit the correct area as it was when there was an actual arrow that showed where to tap.

Changing my review to say the app works much better now. Went from not working at all to working consistently. only took them a long while lol. Im very thankful for it (when it's working properly) because evidently my household can keep track of a single remote. I can't even find the remote I just bought. It's still in the box🤦♀️🤷♀️. So I, and other family members can use the app as a remote when needed! Thank you roku😘

useless at worst, unoptimal at best. I tried connecting to my TV and it didn't show up. Then Itried to do it manually by IP address—nothing. It took 20-30 minutes of restarting my phone and my TV, unpliggimg my router, reconnecting everything, then searching for devices again. eventually it worked for a while, but had a couple seconds of latency for every input. then it disconnected and I couldn't find my device again. I spent more time trying to use the app than actually using it.
