4.7 eBay has long been a staple in the online shopping and selling landscape, and its app brings a wealth of features that enhance the user experience. Here are some of the core highlights that make eBay a go-to platform for millions:
As someone who frequently shops online, I often turn to the eBay app for various needs. Whether I’m looking for a unique gift for a friend or trying to declutter my home by selling items I no longer use, eBay has become an essential part of my daily routine. Just last week, I used the app to find a vintage camera for my photography class. The search was simple, and I was thrilled to discover several options within my budget. On the flip side, I also used the app to sell some old electronics. The process was seamless, and I appreciated how easy it was to list my items and communicate with potential buyers.
The eBay app boasts a user-friendly interface that makes navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that showcased trending items and personalized recommendations based on my previous searches. The search function is intuitive, allowing me to filter results by category, price, and condition. Listing an item for sale was equally straightforward; I simply followed the prompts to upload photos and write a description. The app's performance has been consistently smooth, with minimal loading times, which is crucial when I’m in a hurry. Overall, my experience has been positive, and I appreciate the app's focus on making both shopping and selling enjoyable.
eBay operates on a competitive pricing model that varies depending on the type of listing. While many items are available at bargain prices, sellers are charged fees based on the final sale price of their items. For casual sellers like me, eBay's fee structure is reasonable, especially considering the platform's vast audience. Additionally, I often find great deals on used items, which makes the app a cost-effective option for budget-conscious shoppers.
eBay regularly updates its app to enhance functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed improvements in the search algorithm and the addition of new features that streamline the buying and selling process. Customer support is readily available through the app, with options for live chat and email assistance. I once had a question about a transaction, and the support team responded promptly, resolving my issue efficiently. This level of support gives me confidence in using the platform.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any online platform, and eBay takes these concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that users download a legitimate version. During registration, eBay requires basic personal information, including your name, email address, and payment details, which are securely encrypted. I appreciate that eBay has implemented two-factor authentication, adding an extra layer of security to my account.
While using the app, I noticed that eBay does display ads, but they are generally relevant to my interests based on my browsing history. The app does track some behavior to personalize my experience, but I feel comfortable knowing that eBay adheres to privacy regulations. Overall, I believe eBay strikes a good balance between providing a personalized shopping experience and maintaining user privacy.

eBay used to show when a Best Offer was accepted with a crossed-out price and ‘Best offer accepted,’ making it easy to see real sale prices. Now it only shows ‘or Best Offer’ with no confirmation or final price. This change makes it harder to gauge value and feels like a step backward. I’d much rather see the actual accepted prices again.

Please let me report scalpers because these scalpers are REALLY getting out of hand!! I reported an item for manipulating search results, listing with the wrong item condition (i.e listed as "pre-owned" but the title and desc. say "for Parts&Repair") got an email saying the AI didn't find anything despite that the item name in the same email said "PARTS ONLY". yes, it's in all caps in the item name. How did this go over the AI's head?! Stop giving me tiny shipping labels!!

garbage app that constantly crashes and never shows the whole page. every time it updates it gets worse. I'm waiting for the rest of whatever purchases I made to arrive,(IF they arrive...),and then I'm done with ebay. it was a good ride for the first decade or so but I'm tired of being ripped off. buyer protection is 100% meaningless. none of my friends are having trouble with the other big platform so I guess I'll give those guys a shot. at least I know I'll receive what I pay for...

Overall good experience. Only issue is, I have money available from selling items and the app will not allow me to send the money to myself. I was able to do it before on the current card. I tried adding a card and even my bank account, that does absolutely nothing. I got emails saying the banking and card info updated, but not when I go to send the money to those accounts. Now they're just holding my money.

it's OK. not nearly as useful as desktop site. when selling, lots of options just don't show up. I get daily notifications for deals but when I actually sell items I don't find out until I get a late notice to ship my item saying the item sold weeks prior. buying items on the app is simple and easy, not so much selling. and finding previous conversations with sellers and buyers on here is like a corn maze nearly impossible to find. reviewing because im tired of ebay asking me to rate the app
