4.7 As a busy professional, I often find myself juggling multiple tasks throughout the day. Hubspace has become an essential part of my daily routine. In the mornings, I use the app to automate my coffee maker and gradually brighten my bedroom lights, creating a gentle wake-up experience. During the day, I can check in on my home remotely to ensure everything is running smoothly, and in the evenings, I set the mood for relaxation by dimming the lights and playing my favorite music through connected speakers. Whether I’m at home or on the go, Hubspace makes managing my smart devices effortless.
The user interface of Hubspace is one of its standout features. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean and organized layout that makes it easy to find what I need. The setup process for new devices is straightforward, with step-by-step prompts guiding me through each stage. I particularly appreciate the feature that allows me to create custom scenes; it’s as simple as dragging and dropping my devices into a scene. Performance-wise, the app is responsive, with minimal lag when switching between devices or executing commands. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, as Hubspace has simplified my life and enhanced my home environment.
Hubspace is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for anyone looking to manage their smart home without incurring additional costs. While some advanced features may require compatible devices, the core functionalities are accessible to all users. This makes it an attractive option for those who want to dip their toes into smart home technology without a hefty investment.
The developers of Hubspace are committed to providing regular updates, which I’ve noticed improve functionality and introduce new features. Whenever I encounter an issue, the support team is responsive and helpful, often resolving my queries within a day. The app also includes a comprehensive FAQ section that addresses common concerns, making it easy to find solutions without needing to contact support directly.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that connects to my home devices. Hubspace is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility as these platforms have strict security measures in place. During registration, I was required to provide basic personal information, but I appreciated that the app clearly outlines its data usage policies, ensuring transparency.
One concern I had was regarding ads and tracking behavior. Hubspace does not bombard users with ads, which is a relief, and it appears to limit tracking to what is necessary for functionality. I feel confident that my data is being handled responsibly, as the app emphasizes user privacy and security in its terms of service. Overall, I believe Hubspace takes the necessary steps to protect its users while providing a convenient smart home experience.

Nice Idea That Doesn't Work. The app downloads easy enough and creating the account is easy. When it comes to adding a device, scanning the qr code pops it right up... then comes adding the network. There are none. Despite how many 2.4 ghz networks I have (and that are on the area), nothing shows up. It's only suggestion is try another phone. Yes, I am going to go buy a new phone to try and make this work.

Update: After being directed to reach out using the number provided, not only was i not able to get the issue resolved. 1) the first customer service agent tried to assist and but then either hung up or the connection was lost. Called back a second time and that customer agent could not be understood. Cannot get any of the lights to connect to my Wi-Fi system so that they can be controlled remotely. they seem to work okay if I get close and can use Bluetooth

Works much much better! They've added widgets and it's working perfectly. The app opens a lot faster now too! Great stuff. Tbh I'll keep an eye out for hubspace stuff going forward. Old: It works well, but it takes too long to open the app. I wish there was a widget available I could use to quickly toggle a light on/off or maybe switch to a preset dim/colored light.

So it's pretty good, but it lacks one major piece to get 5 stars: the ability to link a schedule to a group of bulbs rather than having to create each one individually. ie I have two in an overhead fixture, they are grouped but I have to set up all the scheduled on, off, sunset, morning wakeup, etc on one of them, then recreate each one of those for the second bulb as well. Adding a schedule should also give the option to apply to a group or room so that you can literally group them together.

You can tell alot of resources went into making this app marketable. All you need to do to use is buy the product, create an account, give your email, location, wifi password, and then figure out how to digitally turn on your plug. Oh if you have to turn off your breaker or unplug the device at any time, good luck. You'll need to manually unpair and rescan every device. The UI is non-intuituve, but THANK GOD there's a whole section (¼) for buying more product. I do like the dark mode though, +1.
