4.5 As someone who frequently travels for both work and leisure, I often find myself needing passport photos for various applications. Recently, I had to apply for a new visa for an upcoming business trip to Europe. Instead of heading to a professional photographer, I decided to give the "Passport Photo Maker" app a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to take a suitable photo right from my living room. I simply set up my phone on a tripod, adjusted the lighting, and followed the app's guidelines for the perfect shot.
Another scenario where the app came in handy was when I needed a photo for my international driver's license. I was in a rush, and the app allowed me to quickly select the required dimensions, edit the photo, and save it all within minutes. This saved me a trip to a photo booth and a lot of time!
The user interface of "Passport Photo Maker" is incredibly intuitive. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made navigation a breeze. The workflow is straightforward: you can either take a new photo or upload an existing one. The editing tools are easy to use, and I appreciated the step-by-step guidance provided throughout the process. The performance was smooth, with no lag or crashes, which is a huge plus when you're in a hurry.
After using the app, I felt a sense of accomplishment. It was satisfying to create a professional-looking passport photo without the need for expensive services. The instant preview feature allowed me to see how my photo would look once printed, which gave me peace of mind that I was submitting a quality image for my applications.
"Passport Photo Maker" offers a free version with basic features, which is great for casual users. However, for those who want access to premium features like advanced editing tools and additional size options, there is a one-time purchase available. I found the pricing to be reasonable, especially considering the convenience and quality of the final product.
The app is regularly updated, which is reassuring as it shows the developers are committed to improving user experience. I encountered a minor issue with the background removal tool, and I was pleased to find that customer support was responsive and helpful. They provided me with a quick solution, which made my experience even better.
As an American user, I always prioritize security and privacy when using apps, especially those that involve personal photos. "Passport Photo Maker" is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. The app does require registration, but I was pleased to see that it only asks for minimal personal data, such as an email address for account creation.
Importantly, I did not notice any intrusive ads or tracking behavior while using the app. This is a significant concern for many users, and I appreciated that my experience was free from distractions. Overall, I felt secure using "Passport Photo Maker," knowing that my personal information and photos were handled with care.

this app is full of annoying, intrusive ads. when I finally got past them and attempted to create an acceptable photo, I found that the background removal tool left lots of weird digital artifacts around my face and hair. Even after trying a few times, I was not confident that any of the photos I created would have been accepted. I recommend looking into other options.

BEWARE - THIS APP IS NOT FREE. You must enter credit card information in order to use. The prompt states they won't charge you, but if it's truly free, then there would be absolutely no need to enter credit card info. Not to mention, I've seen several reviews of people confirming that they had unauthorized charges on their card(s) via this app. I'm not gambling with this bs app...Uninstalling stat!

Great app. The guidance while taking the photo, auto crop to the correct size, background remover (premium). Has everything needed for a perfect photo. I have used it many times with perfect results. REMARKS: make sure you generate multiple copies on single photo (for example 6x4) and print them as a regular photo, you will only need to cut them and it will cost you less than a dollar to print at CVS or Walgreens.

Really helpful. Once I figured out I didn't need to use any of the paintbrush type tools to change my background, it was very intuitive. Also the fact that there is a drop down menu where you can choose your country and have the app automatically tailor the pic to their requirements is amazing! One suggestion: voice commands. They may already be there so apologies if I didn't see them, but would be very handy in a home picture-taking situation.

SCAM App! Do not use this app. I wanted to use this app so I didn't have to go up a place to get passport photos taken. Well I wanted to use the free version but it still prompted me for my CC saying that I wouldn't be charged. But I couldn't move forward without entering the card number. I tried 3 different cards because they all kept declining. A little while later I'm getting messages with suspected fraud on my cards. I had to cancel all 3 cards and get new cards.
