4.9 Turo is not just another car rental service; it’s a unique marketplace that connects car owners with those in need of a vehicle. Here are some of the standout features that make Turo a go-to choice for many:
My experience with Turo has been nothing short of fantastic. I often travel for work and leisure, and Turo has become my go-to app for car rentals. On one occasion, I had a business meeting in a different city and needed a reliable vehicle. Instead of the usual rental companies, I decided to try Turo. I found a comfortable sedan that was perfect for my needs, and the process was seamless. Another time, I wanted to impress my friends during a weekend trip, so I rented a sporty convertible. The thrill of driving it along the coast was unforgettable, and it made for some great memories.
The Turo app is designed with user experience in mind. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through various options. I appreciated the detailed listings that included photos, descriptions, and user reviews, which helped me make informed decisions. The booking process was straightforward; I simply selected my desired vehicle, checked availability, and completed the payment in a few taps. Performance-wise, the app was responsive, and I never encountered any glitches. Overall, my feelings after using Turo were overwhelmingly positive. It felt like I was part of a community rather than just a customer, which added a personal touch to the experience.
Turo’s pricing is competitive and often more affordable than traditional car rental services. I found that the rates varied depending on the type of vehicle and rental duration, but I was able to find great deals, especially for longer rentals. Additionally, the option to choose different insurance plans allowed me to tailor my expenses according to my comfort level. Overall, I felt that the value I received was well worth the cost.
Turo’s customer support is commendable. I had a minor issue with a booking once, and their support team was quick to respond and resolve the matter efficiently. The app also receives regular updates, which enhance its functionality and user experience. I appreciate that Turo is committed to improving its platform, as it shows they value user feedback and are dedicated to providing a top-notch service.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Turo does a commendable job in this regard. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards. During the registration process, I was required to provide some personal information, including my driver's license and payment details, which is standard for car rentals. However, I felt reassured knowing that Turo employs encryption and other security measures to protect my data.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, Turo does collect data to enhance user experience, but I did not feel overwhelmed by intrusive ads. The app seems to strike a balance between providing personalized recommendations and respecting user privacy. Overall, I felt secure using Turo, knowing that my information was handled responsibly.

App is great - fees leave you wishing you didn't use it. It was labor day and I needed a car, but car rental companies had no inventory, so I gave turo a try. It was easy to sort cars by type and price. I chose a renter that had a storefront business, and they were great! My mistake was checking out without looking closely at the end price, because the end price was 40% more because of the fees! If you use turo and see companies using their platform, check if they have a website. Book direct!

App has issues. When I was picking up the car, during the check-in process, the app was lagging and said I don't have internet service, uploading pictures was taking extremely long. Biggest issue was when I submitted that I need to return car day early and I had no response, when I arrived to airport I had to call support. it took so long to solve it for them, that I almost missed my flight. And finally when got approved for early return, check out process had same issue with app as at check in.

It sent me an ad as a notification on my phone. I go into the app's settings to disable ads/promotions, only to find that you can either disable in-app text notifications (important), or enable ads by email (not important). Fine, I'll just disable ads using Android's baked-in per-app notification settings. Nop! Only thing I can turn off are "general notifications", which would probably impact text alerts within the app. In short, Turo sends me ads via notifications that I can't turn off.

Turo app is the best! Very easy to navigate, hassle free to find and book a rental, providing 2 way feedback from the host and renters which keeps an honest review of all parties, nothing hidden. I love not having to worry about major credit cards, itenerary, or large deposits at major car rental companies. The only con is: How do I leave a review for the host 😬. I am not seeing the option under my "trips" just after closing the rental (less than 10 days).

I've rented 3 cars on turo. First time everything went as planned. The second time there was problem with the car and we had to divert our trip which cost us a few hours. The third time the day before the trip the car was cancelled. When I rebooked there was barely any equivalent cars left. I had to book for another $200 extra. Turonis a good app in face of a difficult industry. However you need to have alternate plans ready at all times and be flexible. Having young kids is a no-no.
