4.4 The "Wyze - Make Your Home Smarter" app is a powerhouse of features designed to enhance your home automation experience. Here are some of the standout highlights that make this app a must-have for anyone looking to simplify their life:
Using the Wyze app has transformed how I manage my home. One of my favorite scenarios is when I’m away on vacation. I can check the live feeds from my Wyze cameras to ensure everything is secure. Just last month, while I was on a beach trip, I received a notification about a package delivery. I quickly accessed the camera feed to see the delivery person drop off my parcel, which gave me peace of mind knowing my items were safe.
Another scenario is during family gatherings. I set up my Wyze smart plugs to control the outdoor lights and music system. With a simple tap on the app, I can create a festive atmosphere without having to run around manually turning everything on. It’s these little conveniences that make hosting so much easier!
The user interface of the Wyze app is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays all my connected devices. Navigating through the app is a breeze, with clearly labeled sections for cameras, lights, and routines. The feature workflow is smooth; for example, setting up a new device takes just a few minutes, thanks to the step-by-step prompts. Performance-wise, the app is responsive, and I’ve rarely encountered any lag, even when accessing multiple devices simultaneously. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and I appreciate how the app simplifies my daily routines.
Wyze offers a range of pricing options that cater to different needs. The basic app is free, which is fantastic for users who want to dip their toes into smart home technology. For those looking for more features, such as cloud storage for video recordings, the Cam Plus subscription is available at a very reasonable monthly fee. I find the pricing to be competitive compared to other smart home solutions, making it accessible for most users.
Wyze is committed to improving its app and devices, regularly rolling out updates that enhance functionality and security. I’ve noticed several updates since I started using the app, each bringing new features and bug fixes. The customer support is also commendable; I had a minor issue with my camera setup, and the support team responded promptly with helpful solutions. Their online community is active, providing additional resources and tips for users.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to smart home devices. The Wyze app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, which is standard for most apps. However, I appreciate that Wyze has a transparent privacy policy that outlines how my data is used and protected.
Importantly, I have not encountered any intrusive ads or excessive tracking behavior while using the app. Wyze prioritizes user privacy, and I feel confident that my data is secure. They also offer two-factor authentication, adding an extra layer of security to my account. Overall, I feel safe using the Wyze app, knowing that my privacy is respected and protected.

products work less than ok but they work so I dont mind their faults. this app on the other hand, almost never works. it literally takes 5-10 mins to pull up the app so what ever event that goes on i only see it after it already ended or I have to go to where the camara is pointing to see it live. thinking of switching to ring or blink. not sure yet

Edit: if on the free plan, you will not be getting event notifications. You're supposed to, but you won't. The events will continue to get created and stored in history. The Wyze support will tell you how sorry they are that their app doesn't function and you're having a bad experience. The end. --- Ok app, but cameras repeatedly disconnect on their own and unable to see from the app or reconnect when away, defeating the purpose of buying them.

Definitely not what it once was. We have had Wyze for years. Recently, I have to completly factory reset multiple cameras to get them to come back online. It is time-consuming and frustrating, to say the least. Not sure what changed or if it is to cause customers to buy new cameras/ purchase an upgrade/ package. Disappointed, and have to spend time and money on a new camera system. I do not recommend.

The app seems to be working better, but I'm still having issues with cameras not recording events, and oftentimes when I open the app, the cameras don't want to load unless I go in and force stop it and clear the cache. I've also had a couple of issues with my locks connecting. Hopefully, this stuff was fixed in the most recent update. As a whole, I still love your company and its products.

I've had Wyze cameras for years & I used to recommend them to everyone. I do not anymore because the quality has gone down so much. The cameras constantly disconnect, events don't register (even though the camera moves with the movement, but still doesn't register as an event), &one has started clicking at night when it never did before (turning off night vision solved it). I hate the idea of going to another company when I've invested so much in so many cameras, but Wyze is unreliable now.
