4.8 CrimeRadar: Dispatch Alerts is a powerful tool designed to keep users informed about crime incidents in their vicinity. With its user-friendly interface and real-time updates, this app is a must-have for anyone looking to stay safe and aware. Here are some of its standout features:
As a city dweller, I often find myself navigating through various neighborhoods, whether for work or leisure. One day, while heading to a new café, I decided to open CrimeRadar to check for any recent incidents in the area. To my surprise, I found a report of a car break-in just a few blocks away. This prompted me to take a different route, ensuring I stayed clear of potential danger. Additionally, during a weekend trip to a nearby park, I used the app to check for any alerts, which helped me feel more secure while enjoying the outdoors with friends.
The user interface of CrimeRadar is sleek and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through various features. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that displayed the latest alerts prominently. The interactive map is particularly impressive; I could zoom in and out to see crime hotspots in detail. The performance is smooth, with notifications arriving promptly, ensuring I never miss an important update. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The app not only keeps me informed but also empowers me to make safer choices in my daily life.
CrimeRadar: Dispatch Alerts is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for users looking for a reliable safety tool without the burden of subscription fees. While there are optional in-app purchases for premium features, the free version offers ample functionality for most users. This makes it accessible to a wide audience, ensuring that everyone can benefit from enhanced safety awareness.
The developers of CrimeRadar are committed to providing regular updates, which I appreciate as a user. I’ve noticed improvements in the app’s performance and new features being added over time. Customer support is also responsive; I reached out with a question about customizing alerts and received a helpful reply within a day. This level of support gives me confidence in the app and its ongoing development.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that deals with sensitive information like crime data. CrimeRadar is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide minimal personal information, which is a relief compared to many other apps that demand extensive data. The app does not bombard users with ads, and I have not noticed any intrusive tracking behavior, which is a significant plus for maintaining my privacy. Overall, I feel secure using CrimeRadar, knowing that my personal data is handled responsibly.

Updated review: I really like this app, but the audio is always shortened. The main problems I have are I rarely get notifications, even though it's set to frequent - I live rural so I have it set in a 3 mile radius. There was a fire a block away and I wasn't notified. It's also frustrating that you can't filter/sort the list - it will show something 10 miles away from a week ago first, then something in my radius far down from today. Please allow us to sort by date and filter out by radius.

Pretty good, my only gripe is I can't control how calls and alerts are sorted. I'd like to be able to order them by the time they happen, right now they're jumbled all over the place. For example, at the top is something that happened 20 hours ago, and somewhere further down the list is something that happened 2 minutes ago. Default behavior should be most recent first.

I LOVE THIS APP!!! I mean...sure...there are a couple things that could be improved such as the way the alerts sorted, how long it (sometimes) takes an alert to be posted, etc but I have NEVER had trouble finding a specific alert that I was interested in seeing. As a matter of fact, I've been very impressed with how accurate the alerts seem to be. Keep up the great work!!!

An update recently disabled the ability to add location+distance alerts unless you get their newly introduced Premium. At $10 a month. The app is great, and I'd be willing to throw the devs a few dollars, but the subscription model, and really the pricing, is just outright insulting. You can't search for events by date, distance, or time, and refine notification distance beyond what's pre-set. It also only includes information on the initial call and not follow-up information, and frequently rep

I really want to like this app, but I can't for the life of me figure out the notifications. Inside of the map incidents, it shows 50+ things that I'd like to be notified about, however, when I look under notifications, there's literally only one for today. Doesn't do me a lot of good if I have to open the app every time I want to see what's going on. 🤷♂️
