4.7 Express Scripts is a powerful app designed to streamline the management of your prescriptions and healthcare needs. Here are some of its standout features that make it a must-have for anyone looking to simplify their medication management:
As someone who manages multiple prescriptions for various health conditions, I find myself using the Express Scripts app almost daily. One of the most common scenarios is when I need to refill a prescription. Instead of calling my pharmacy or waiting in line, I simply open the app, navigate to my prescriptions, and request a refill with just a few taps. This has saved me countless hours and has made managing my health much more efficient.
Another scenario is when I travel. I often forget to pack my medications, but with the app, I can quickly check my prescription details and even order a temporary supply to be sent to my hotel. This feature has been a lifesaver on more than one occasion, allowing me to focus on enjoying my trip rather than worrying about my health needs.
The user interface of the Express Scripts app is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my current prescriptions, upcoming refills, and any alerts I need to be aware of. Navigating through the app is seamless; I can easily switch between sections without any lag or confusion. The workflow for refilling prescriptions is straightforward, and I appreciate the reminders that pop up to prompt me when it’s time to take my medication.
Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any crashes or glitches. I’ve never experienced any issues while using it, which is crucial when it comes to managing my health. Overall, my experience with the app has been overwhelmingly positive, and I feel more in control of my medication management than ever before.
Express Scripts operates on a pricing model that varies based on your insurance plan and the medications you require. For many users, the app can help identify lower-cost alternatives or generic versions of medications, which can lead to significant savings. I’ve found that by using the app, I can often find better prices than what I would pay at a traditional pharmacy, making it a cost-effective solution for managing my prescriptions.
The Express Scripts app is regularly updated to enhance user experience and add new features. I’ve noticed improvements in the app’s performance and additional functionalities that make managing prescriptions even easier. Customer support is readily available through the app, and I’ve had positive experiences when reaching out for assistance. The support team is responsive and knowledgeable, which gives me confidence in using the app for my healthcare needs.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to managing my health information through an app. Express Scripts is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide personal information, including my name, address, and insurance details. However, I felt reassured knowing that the app employs encryption and other security measures to protect my data.
Importantly, I have not encountered any intrusive ads or excessive tracking behavior while using the app. This is a significant plus for me, as I prefer to use applications that respect my privacy. Overall, I feel confident that my personal information is secure while using Express Scripts, allowing me to focus on my health without unnecessary concerns.

**new edit** It's been a few years now and I'm still using this app. You can start and stop your meds depending on what the doctor prescribes. it's much easier than phone ordering. It's a good app, easy to use, doesn't crash, and payment for meds is simple. Been using it for about six months now. The really good thing is that it is much quicker than having to call it in, deal with an automated system, and then answer redundant questions. I'm not knocking the phone system but this app is easier.

App is fine overall, but there’s one ridiculous issue. When trying to pay a bill and add a card, the app forces you to pick a payment amount of $100 or more just so they can charge your card without contacting you first. That makes zero sense. It’s unnecessary, inconvenient, and honestly pretty absurd.

6/13/2020 update: Now app just won't load my orders or prescriptions. Every time I try to use it I get more disappointed. Terrible app, even worse than the web site. Every time I've tried to use it in the last four months I always get the error "Because of an error in our system, we can't complete your checkout right now. You can try to check out later or call us at the toll-free number on your member ID card. Reference number: 8068" The "checkout later" part has never worked.

The app won't let me pass the login. It shows my password is correct. It sends me a verification code, I type it in. Then in throws me a "system error" each time. Yet, it let's me login the browser. Honestly, I don't think I'll be using Express Scripts anymore. I gave it a try. It takes way too long for meds to arrive. It says 3-5 business days after processing. Processing takes days. It's not helpful, faster, or easier if I can't get my meds when I need them.

They've re-added the "days remaining" feature. Everything seems to be similar to what it was before and that's the way I like it. However, the quantity on all of my medications says 0. Maybe that's a bug that needs worked out? Oh and the number of remaining refills is off too. It shows how many refills were originally ordered and not what's actually remaining. Also, I noticed it's not "instant" anymore. Everything is delayed by a day.
