4.6 As someone who travels frequently for both work and leisure, I often find myself in need of a reliable travel app. Recently, I had to plan a business trip to San Francisco on short notice. I opened Hopper to check flight options, and within minutes, I was able to compare prices and book a flight that fit my schedule. The app's price prediction feature was particularly helpful, as it advised me to book immediately due to a potential price increase. This kind of real-time advice is invaluable when you're on a tight timeline.
Another scenario where Hopper came in handy was during a family vacation planning session. We were considering a trip to Orlando, and I used the app to search for hotels and rental cars. The ability to see everything in one place made it easy to coordinate our plans, and I loved how I could set up a watchlist for the hotels we were interested in. This feature allowed me to keep track of price changes without constantly checking back, which saved me a lot of time and stress.
The user interface of Hopper is sleek and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through various options. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that clearly displayed flight, hotel, and car rental options. The search functionality is straightforward; I simply entered my destination and travel dates, and the app quickly generated a list of options. I found the filters particularly useful, allowing me to narrow down results based on price, amenities, and more.
Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any noticeable lag, which is crucial when you're trying to make quick decisions about travel. I appreciated the detailed information provided for each option, including user reviews and ratings, which helped me make informed choices. Overall, my experience with Hopper has been overwhelmingly positive, and I feel confident using it for all my travel needs.
Hopper is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for budget-conscious travelers. While the app does offer premium features, such as the ability to unlock additional insights and predictions, the core functionalities are available without any cost. This makes it accessible for anyone looking to save money on travel without committing to a subscription or upfront fees.
The app is regularly updated to improve functionality and user experience, which I appreciate as a user. I recently encountered a minor issue with the watchlist feature, and I was pleasantly surprised by the responsive customer support. They addressed my concern promptly and provided a solution that worked seamlessly. The commitment to user satisfaction is evident, and it gives me confidence in using the app for future travel plans.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that handles personal and financial information. Hopper is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility as these platforms have strict guidelines for app security.
When registering for the app, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my name and email address. I appreciated that Hopper clearly outlined how my data would be used, ensuring transparency. Additionally, the app does not bombard users with excessive ads, which can often lead to tracking concerns. Instead, it focuses on providing a streamlined experience, which I find refreshing in today’s app landscape.
Overall, I feel secure using Hopper for my travel needs, knowing that my personal data is handled responsibly and that the app prioritizes user privacy. This peace of mind allows me to focus on planning my trips rather than worrying about potential security issues.

Despite having app notifications on, they do not send *unless* and *until* I open the app manually - then I'll get sent notifications. In terms of the algorithm, I'm quite disappointed with its predictions... When first looking at a flight back I'm Feb, it was ~$150 and told me to keep waiting, and now it's like ~$220 and not going down, yet it keeps telling me to wait... However, it's possible I've missed lower prices bc the app isn't notifying. 🙃

great app always low prices but make sure to read the hotel reviews let's be honest if the room is 26 dollars a night it's not going to be the greatest stay. The app can also help book full trips with flights car rentals and hotels it's a great one stop shop not to mention the deals and the punch rule every stay at certain hotels grants punches in your punch card (virtual card not physical) some hotels offer multiple punches just for one stay! Love it!

Avoid this app like the plague. Tried to make a 3 day 2 night hotel reservation, my first vacation since pre-covid. Set the date for mid-July. selected the hotel, found the room, selected payment, made the reservation. Then got confirmation it was for literally tonight. one night. At some point the date got scrambled or it just decided the room I wanted was available tonight, not July, or something. I'm stuck with a room I can't use and it is resisting any attempt to change or cancel.

hopper is officially the app to use if you want them to take your money! The customer service is very poor. Is it me or no one from America is in Cust. service anymore. They dont know how to talk to you! Then they break out the small print which was no where to be found when making your booking! I will not give my money to them to employ another rude idiot. Nor to help them get the hotels richer by taking from people who cant afford all the extra fees. Your app you says all fees&taxes included

I will never use this app again. There were so many issues. I was separated from my kids on the outbound flight because we somehow ended up with different booking numbers. I paid for the option to change for any reason, then had to fight to actually get it changed when we needed to push our return flight back. They told me changes and cancellations have to be done through the airline, but the airline app didn't even show my booking number. So frustrating.
