4.5 "My Disney Experience" is a comprehensive app designed to enhance your visit to the magical world of Disney. With its user-friendly interface and a plethora of features, it serves as your ultimate guide to navigating the parks and making the most of your experience. Here are some of the core features that stand out:
During my recent trip to Disney World, "My Disney Experience" became my go-to companion. As soon as I arrived at the park, I opened the app to check my park reservation and confirm my entry time. The seamless integration of my ticket information made the check-in process a breeze. Later in the day, I used the mobile food ordering feature to grab lunch at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn. I placed my order while waiting in line for a ride, and by the time I got to the restaurant, my food was ready for pickup. This feature saved me so much time and allowed me to maximize my fun without the hassle of waiting in long lines.
The user interface of "My Disney Experience" is intuitive and visually appealing. Navigating through the app feels natural, with clearly labeled sections for reservations, dining, and attractions. I particularly appreciated the feature that allows you to filter attractions by height requirements, which was helpful for my kids. The performance of the app was impressive; it loaded quickly, even during peak hours when the parks were bustling with visitors. Overall, my experience was overwhelmingly positive. The app not only enhanced my visit but also made planning and managing our day at Disney World enjoyable and stress-free.
One of the best aspects of "My Disney Experience" is that it is completely free to download and use. However, keep in mind that while the app itself is free, you will still need to purchase park tickets, dining reservations, and any additional experiences you wish to enjoy. The app serves as a valuable tool to help you manage these expenses and make the most of your budget while at the parks.
Disney frequently updates the "My Disney Experience" app to enhance functionality and user experience. I noticed improvements in the mobile ordering feature and the addition of new attractions shortly after their openings. If you encounter any issues, Disney’s customer support is readily available through the app, providing assistance via chat or phone. I found their support team to be responsive and helpful, which added to my overall satisfaction with the app.
As an American user, security and privacy are always top of mind when using apps, especially those that require personal information. "My Disney Experience" is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards set by these platforms. When registering for the app, you are required to provide personal data such as your name, email address, and payment information for reservations. However, Disney has a solid reputation for protecting user data and employs encryption to safeguard your information.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, I noticed minimal intrusive advertising while using the app. Disney does collect data to enhance user experience and provide personalized recommendations, but they are transparent about their data usage policies. Overall, I felt secure using "My Disney Experience," knowing that my information was handled with care and that I could enjoy my magical experience without unnecessary concerns.

The payment process is incredibly frustrating and flawed, from a user-experience perspective. I was trying to buy a Lightning Lane pass and apparently you can *only* do that in the app. When I was trying to enter my credit card info, if I accidentally mis-clicked then the form would close and I'd have to re-enter it again. Your cart would time out *as* you are filling out payment info and you'd have to start over. It would inexplicably fail and I'd have to start over, many times. So annoying.

It is overwhelming to tackle the trip to Disney. At first, the app felt like another complication, but once you get the hang of it, it makes the whole thing so much easier. It is literally your whole.itinerary, with information and updates about every park, ride, and restaurant. I also found it a helpful way to communicate with cast members. When I didn't know exactly what to ask or how to find something, they showed me right in the app. They are masters at using it and are happy to share!

New phone new issues. Android 14. It connects the magic band plus but only gives errors when trying to update. Nothing ever just works. It's nice when it works, but sometimes twice a day I had to uninstall and reinstall it because it wouldn't link up my resort to my account in a way I could interact with. Instead it would ask for my confirmation number, tell me it was already linked, but not give me access.

difficult to navigate but works. finding what you need is complicated with multiple possible locations in the app and complex buried menus. inconsistent labels also complicate matters. for example finding the fireworks packages is a struggle. locating restaurants with Open slots is time consuming and cumbersome. the restaurants require a fee for reservations, but then aren't ready at the set time. everything loads slowly when it doesn't time out. resort feature and functions seem pasted on.

Not only have I been having issues getting photos using Bluetooth for a while now, but now, all of a sudden and for literally no reason, I'm getting signed out of the app as well at the most inopportune and annoying times. Never used to have this problem, but now the app randomly does this. Really hoping they fix this glitch.
