4.3 The "Stop & Shop" app is a game-changer for grocery shopping, offering a variety of features that streamline the entire process. Here are some of the core highlights that make this app stand out:
As a busy professional, I often find myself juggling work commitments and personal errands. The "Stop & Shop" app has become an essential tool in my daily life. For example, on a typical Sunday, I sit down with my family to plan our meals for the week. Using the app, I create a shopping list based on our meal plan, ensuring that I have everything I need for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This not only saves time but also helps us eat healthier by avoiding last-minute takeout.
Another scenario where the app shines is during my lunch breaks. I often find myself craving a specific snack or ingredient for dinner. Instead of making a trip to the store, I quickly check the app for any digital coupons that might apply to my cravings. This way, I can save money while ensuring I have what I need for my meals.
The user interface of the "Stop & Shop" app is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I am greeted with a clean layout that makes navigation a breeze. The main features are easily accessible, and I appreciate how quickly I can switch between my shopping list, digital coupons, and weekly ads. The app's performance is impressive; it loads quickly, and I have never experienced any lag while browsing or adding items to my cart.
One of my favorite aspects of the app is the seamless workflow when creating a shopping list. I can add items by searching or scanning barcodes, which is particularly handy when I’m in a hurry. After I’ve compiled my list, the app even organizes items by aisle, making my shopping experience more efficient. Overall, my feelings after using the app are overwhelmingly positive; it has truly transformed the way I approach grocery shopping.
The "Stop & Shop" app is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for budget-conscious shoppers. While the app itself doesn’t have any hidden fees, it does encourage users to take advantage of the various promotions and discounts available through digital coupons. This means that not only do you save on the app, but you also save at the checkout, making it a win-win situation for anyone looking to cut down on grocery expenses.
Stop & Shop regularly updates the app to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I’ve noticed improvements in the app’s speed and functionality with each update, which shows the developers are committed to providing a top-notch service. Additionally, customer support is readily available through the app, offering assistance for any issues or questions I might have. I appreciate the quick response times and helpful guidance, which adds to my overall satisfaction with the app.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that involves personal data. The "Stop & Shop" app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my name and email address, which is standard for grocery apps.
One concern I had was regarding ads and tracking behavior. The app does display personalized ads based on my shopping habits, but I appreciate that I have the option to opt-out of targeted advertising. Overall, I feel secure using the "Stop & Shop" app, as it prioritizes user privacy while still providing a personalized shopping experience.

This app has a mind of its own. So many times, when I go to check out for delivery, I see items that I have never ordered in my cart. Now, when trying to access the "Free pick-up / delivery", the screen keeps "verifying the device" and just goes on and on. It never opens to make selections to qualify for free delivery. Delivery with Pea Pod was so much better: they were on time; the drivers never got lost; every item in the cart was delivered. This Instacart is a joke.

The special coupons for free items one has to get by using the in-store digital kiosk used to be available in the digital coupon section in the app. Why is that no longer the case? The ad for it can be seen, but not clicked on, in the print view of the weekly circular, but it's not visible at all in the grid view, which I usually use. And after you go to the kiosk, it doesn't show up with your saved digital coupons. So one has to print it out to see the specifics of the item that's free.

I've long been a fan of stop and shop's embrace of technology. They were early to delivery, pickup and scan as you go. When working properly I love the app. However, there is a major bug that cuts off half of the screen. I uninstalled and reinstalled and now literally cannot sign in because the option to authenticate simply isn't on the screen to select. beyond frustrating

Constant App Crashing - Every time I go into the Save section and try looking at the coupons they have this week the app keeps freezing and crashing, even when I update it. Fix your app because it's trash. 🗑️ I basically have to go to another app like Flipp just to be able to know what the weekly coupons are or look around for the paper version that comes in the mail. Also when I go to search and type in specific brands like Thomas bagels it automatically erases what I type in and start over.

Horrible!!! If I could give less than a 1 star rating, I surely would. This app is unreliable. It provides info that not only is incorrect but that was never entered to begin with...???? I spent a lot of time selecting items that were advertised at one price, yet checked out at a different price altogether (of course, consistently, the checkout price was higher!). This REALLY makes me long for the old Pea Pod app
