Real Experience Using "WhatColors: AI Color Analysis"

Application Scenarios

As someone who frequently dabbles in graphic design and home decor, WhatColors has become an indispensable tool in my daily routine. One of my favorite scenarios was when I was redecorating my home office. I took a photo of the room and uploaded it to the app. Within seconds, it provided me with a detailed analysis of the colors present, along with suggestions for complementary shades. This helped me choose the perfect accent wall color that not only matched my existing furniture but also inspired a cozy and productive atmosphere.

Another instance was during a recent project for a local charity event. I needed to create promotional materials that were visually appealing and accessible. By using the color accessibility tools in WhatColors, I was able to ensure that my designs were friendly for everyone, including those with color vision deficiencies. This feature not only enhanced my designs but also made me feel good about creating inclusive content.

User Experience

The user interface of WhatColors is sleek and intuitive, making it easy for anyone to navigate. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that allowed me to quickly upload images or take new ones. The workflow is straightforward; after uploading a photo, the app processes it rapidly, displaying the color analysis in a visually appealing format. I particularly appreciated the way the app grouped colors into palettes, making it easy to visualize how they work together.

Performance-wise, WhatColors is impressively fast. I never experienced lag or crashes, even when working with high-resolution images. The overall experience left me feeling satisfied and eager to explore more of its features. The ability to save and export color palettes directly to my design software was a game-changer, streamlining my workflow significantly.

Pricing

WhatColors offers a free version with basic features, which is great for casual users. However, for those who want to unlock the full potential of the app, there’s a premium subscription available. The pricing is reasonable, especially considering the value it brings to designers and creatives. I opted for the premium version after a week of using the free one, as I found the additional features worth the investment.

Updates & Support

The developers of WhatColors are proactive in providing updates, which is a huge plus. I noticed several enhancements and new features rolled out within the first month of my usage. The support team is also responsive; I reached out with a question about a feature, and they replied within 24 hours with helpful guidance. This level of customer service adds to the overall positive experience of using the app.

Security & Privacy Review

As an American user, I always prioritize security and privacy when using apps, and WhatColors does not disappoint. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During the registration process, I was only required to provide minimal personal data, which is a relief in today’s data-sensitive environment.

Importantly, WhatColors does not bombard users with ads, nor does it engage in excessive tracking behavior. I felt comfortable using the app without worrying about my data being sold or misused. The privacy policy is transparent, outlining how user data is handled, which is reassuring for anyone concerned about their online security. Overall, I felt safe and secure while using WhatColors, allowing me to focus on my creative projects without distraction.

I am so happy right now!! I've wanted to really nail this down for years, and this app is the one. You can do just a week long sub for $5 or a year for $13/yr. I love that you can scroll through the different pallets surrounding your face afterwards to make sure the one it chose is the right one. It probably will be. 💯 It's uncanny how accurate it is- make sure you use a good makeup free pic in good natural lighting. The skin tone match is un-freaking-believable!

used to be a great app, but now it selects random colors instead of those in your palette for makeup, hair, etc. After posting my review the company acted defensive and immediately said it works better. completely false. I'm a warm spring, the app identified me as a warm spring, but all my hair and makeup recommendations are child winter colors. terrible app.

The free version is not very good, not many options and the hair colors available all look unnatural and choppy due to the ai I had the app for about 10 minutes and ended up deleting it because it's just not what I'm looking for. I don't want to pay to have another analysis or more options either. I can say though that the color analysis was pretty accurate so if you just want that it's fine on the free version. Overall though, not a great app. I'll look for something better.

Love the app, great features! I took several photos with different lighting and ended up with a couple of palettes to choose from. I reached out for support and got exactly what I needed, right away. The app offers options to play with makeup, hair, clothing, and even scan my existing clothes to see which are a match for my profile vs not.

I ended up deleting the app and downloaded a couple other ones in hopes I'd find one that worked and actually both did with the very same photo I used with this one, so I'm not sure what went wrong. it didn't work for me. I will say that the fact that you actually interact with users who leave reviews is pretty cool because a lot of developers don't bother, for this reason I'm gonna add an extra star because I do think you care about your users and do your best accommodate them which is fab! ty
