3.8 ABCmouse – Kids Learning Games is a comprehensive educational platform designed for children aged 2 to 8. It offers a plethora of features that make learning fun and engaging. Here are some of the standout highlights:
As a parent, I’m always on the lookout for educational tools that can keep my kids engaged while also enhancing their learning. I often use ABCmouse during our daily routine, especially during the afternoons when the kids need a break from outdoor play. For example, on rainy days, we turn to ABCmouse for a fun learning session. My daughter loves to explore the reading section, where she can listen to stories and follow along with the text. It’s a great way to improve her literacy skills while keeping her entertained.
The user interface of ABCmouse is bright, colorful, and incredibly intuitive. Navigating through the app is a breeze, even for younger children. The layout is designed to be child-friendly, with large buttons and engaging visuals that capture their attention. I appreciate how the app seamlessly guides users through various activities without overwhelming them. The performance is smooth, with minimal loading times, which is crucial when kids are eager to jump into their next learning adventure. Overall, my experience with ABCmouse has been overwhelmingly positive; it feels like a safe and nurturing environment for my children to learn and grow.
ABCmouse offers a subscription-based model, which is quite reasonable considering the wealth of content available. The monthly fee is around $9.95, but they often provide discounts for longer subscriptions, such as a yearly plan that can bring the cost down significantly. Given the extensive resources and the educational value it provides, I find the pricing to be a worthwhile investment in my children’s education.
The app is regularly updated with new content and features, which keeps the learning experience fresh and exciting. I’ve noticed that they frequently add new games and lessons, ensuring that my kids always have something new to explore. Additionally, the customer support team is responsive and helpful. I once had a question about a feature, and they got back to me within a day, providing clear guidance that resolved my issue quickly.
As a parent, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to choosing apps for my children. ABCmouse is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. The app requires registration, and while it does ask for some personal data, such as the child’s name and age, I appreciate that it does not require sensitive information like social security numbers. There are no ads within the app, which is a significant plus, as it creates a distraction-free learning environment. Furthermore, ABCmouse has a clear privacy policy that outlines how they handle data, ensuring that my children’s information is protected. Overall, I feel confident that ABCmouse prioritizes the safety and privacy of its young users.

The app is entertaining for my toddler and helps reinforce things we're teaching but the letter and number tracing games will accept any scribble instead of helping with accuracy. I'm sorting low because I'm only downloading the app on my phone because there's no other way to edit the account online and the browser is blocked on my kid's device. Really inconvenient.

I get it comes down to me being in a hurry, not giving it my full attention, but it shouldn't be multiple steps and then some, just to cancel a subscription. After the first two separate pages, Cancel and Yes, continue cancellation, one would assume the subscription is cancelled. Not if you're cancelling ABCmouse. Convenient that on top of that, they don't offer refunds. I got the trial for my nephew and couldn't justify the price in the end, thought I cancelled, and now my account is overdrawn.

The app was great for my daughter starting out but as she got older she lost interest. I have been a customer for a few years and was doing the yearly subscription as well as the assessment add-on. I was charged today for another year that I won't be using. Since the policy doesn't allow for refunds, I recommend implementing sending a reminder email about upcoming subscription charges, especially to customers that have a yearly subscription.

I wanted to love this, even pulled the trigger on a annual subscription during a sale, but its been pretty disappointing. A lot of interactions are not great for very little ones or autistic children. For example, the books read out loud UNLESS you try to turn the page yourself, then it just stops. Tracing exercises can be completed by just tapping anywhere and it says Great Job which reinforces NOT attempting the exercise. On the plus side my child enjoys giving the mouse a high five.

I'm disappointed with ABCmouse I had it for about 8 months put on the learning path where it actually counts it has been glitching and has just stopped working they won't let you go any further and if you average technical support it really didnt help. if you can't do what you sign up to do I really think it should be a refund on the stages you can't get past at least on the days you have remaining.
