4.6 "PictureThis - Plant Identifier" is a remarkable app that has transformed the way I interact with the green world around me. Here are some of its standout features:
As an avid plant lover, I find myself using "PictureThis - Plant Identifier" in various scenarios throughout my day. One of my favorite moments was during a weekend hike in the woods. I stumbled upon a cluster of vibrant wildflowers and, curious about their identity, I quickly snapped a photo. Within seconds, the app identified them as "Trillium," and I was thrilled to learn about their unique characteristics and habitat. Another scenario was when I visited a local nursery. Armed with the app, I could identify plants I was interested in and check their care requirements right there in the store, making informed decisions about which plants to bring home.
The user interface of "PictureThis" is sleek and intuitive, making it easy for anyone to navigate. Upon opening the app, I am greeted with a clean layout that allows me to either take a photo or upload one from my gallery. The identification process is seamless; I simply click the camera icon, snap a picture, and within moments, I receive detailed information about the plant. The app's performance is impressive, with quick loading times and accurate results. I appreciate the organized sections for plant care, disease diagnosis, and community forums, which enhance my overall experience. After using the app for several months, I feel more connected to my plants and more knowledgeable about their needs.
"PictureThis - Plant Identifier" offers a free version with basic features, but I opted for the premium subscription to unlock the full potential of the app. The premium version provides unlimited plant identification, access to expert advice, and additional resources. The subscription is reasonably priced, especially considering the wealth of information and support it offers. I find it to be a worthwhile investment for any plant enthusiast.
The developers of "PictureThis" are committed to improving the app continuously. I have noticed regular updates that enhance functionality and introduce new features. The support team is responsive and helpful; I once had a question about a plant care tip, and they replied promptly with detailed information. This level of customer service adds to my overall satisfaction with the app.
As an American user, I take security and privacy seriously, and "PictureThis - Plant Identifier" addresses these concerns effectively. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards. During registration, I was only required to provide minimal personal data, which is a relief in today’s digital age. The app does not bombard users with ads, and I have not noticed any intrusive tracking behavior. Overall, I feel confident using "PictureThis," knowing that my data is handled responsibly while I explore the fascinating world of plants.

Requires a credit card for a "free trial". the only reason I didn't give 1 star is because the app does seem to work. If they fix the free trial to actually be free I will adjust the rating. Remember, it isn't free if you need a credit card even if they don't charge. Edit in response: still requires a credit card therefore not a free trial of premium features.

I absolutely adore this app! it's so easy to use, it's amazingly cheap for the premium version (like, shockingly so), and it keeps track of what's in your garden, how to care for it, and even how to pronounce the Latin names! I use it constantly: when I'm in someone else's yard, on hikes, in new places with unfamiliar flora...and it has never given me a single error or problem. It really is wonderful. Thanks devs for a fantastic app!

So, what is the point of using the word "free" if a customer has to submit a credit card just to open the app?! I need to know "what I'm buying before I buy". I've already deleted several other plant app that had too many program errors that negated the possibility of a subscription. If I can't see how this works, how can you possibly expect me to give my CC information, even if it's a 7 day trial, when I don't know if it ACTUALLY WORKS?! The reviews may be phishing.

This app helped my plants thrive until it deleted them all and now I don't know when they were last cared for. i had to add them all back to my library. I hope this hiccup that IT was unable to help with doesn't kill my plants. I also had to resubscribe, despite paying $20 for an entire year back in May. The new sub is $40 and somehow stacked on my previous subscription. If any more issues arise, I will have to find another app to track my plant care. suggested fix has already been attempted.

Had the app for about a month. I do like it but every plant with brown leaf spots are flagged as having a pathogen, and some healthy plants are flagged as sick or could be better. Improvements on the schedule feature would be good so that you can complete the watering without completing fertilizing at the same time. It would be helpful to bring up a list of my plants that may be toxic to dogs/cats without going through each one. And, there is no way to sort categories alphabetically.
