4.6 Simply Piano: Learn Piano Fast is a remarkable app that has transformed the way I approach learning the piano. With its user-friendly interface and engaging lessons, it caters to both beginners and those looking to refine their skills. Here are some of the standout features that make this app a must-have for aspiring pianists:
In my daily life, I often find myself juggling work, family, and personal interests. Simply Piano has seamlessly integrated into my routine. For instance, during my lunch breaks, I would pull out my keyboard and practice a new song I had been eyeing. The app's bite-sized lessons made it easy to learn a few measures in just 10 minutes. On weekends, I would dedicate a bit more time to dive into the structured courses, allowing me to progress steadily. I even used the app to impress my friends at a gathering by playing a popular song they all recognized!
The user interface of Simply Piano is clean and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a friendly layout that made me feel right at home. The lessons are well-organized, and the workflow is smooth, allowing me to transition from one lesson to the next without any hiccups. The app's performance is impressive; it accurately detects my playing and provides constructive feedback almost instantly. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I feel more confident in my playing abilities, and the app has rekindled my passion for music.
Simply Piano offers a free trial that allows users to explore its features before committing. After the trial, the subscription model kicks in, which is reasonably priced considering the wealth of content available. I found the monthly fee to be a small investment for the value I received, especially given the quality of the lessons and the extensive song library. There are also options for longer subscriptions that provide additional savings, making it accessible for various budgets.
The developers of Simply Piano are committed to enhancing the user experience, as evidenced by regular updates that introduce new features and songs. I appreciate the responsiveness of their support team; whenever I had a question or encountered a minor issue, they were quick to assist. The app also has a vibrant community where users can share tips and experiences, further enriching the learning process.
As an American user, I take security and privacy seriously, and Simply Piano does a commendable job in this regard. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards. When registering, I was only required to provide basic information, which made me feel secure about my personal data. Importantly, the app does not bombard users with ads, which can often be a concern with free apps. Instead, it focuses on delivering a seamless learning experience without intrusive tracking behavior. Overall, I feel confident using Simply Piano, knowing that my privacy is respected while I pursue my passion for music.

I really like it overall. I feel I am learning very quickly, albeit I already read music and play other instruments. One thing about it drives me crazy though. In lessons if I hesitate/stop to think for a bit, it almost immediately highlights the next note. I really wish there was a way to turn that off. Also. there doesn't seem to be a way to rewind songs.

it was cool...at first. But someone who has an individual subscription cannot finish lesson #1. The final section in lesson #1 is unavailable unless you upgrade to a Family subscription. Even if you are just one person. So, be aware if you are just an individual wanting to learn piano, they force you to sign up for the more expensive family plan to access all content.

good app for learning piano, except I subscribed for the individual one year, so one time payment, well nop, not only did it charge me twice, but my (original first transaction) subscription was canceled. I don't know why. i did set the second one as fraudulent, but between the first and second bill was a full month. so it is not like it was insufficient funds. I am very frustrated with this app, and their customer service. i have yet to receive a refund, or access to my subscription.

is there a reason why theres a difference between IOS and Android when it comes to practicing the sheet music? Its called "Play" on Android and is significantly the worse version. Unless im not doing something right, you can't play along at your own pace with the sheet music like you can with IOS. And the app generally performs worse on Android overall. But the sheet music differences are really annoying. My main phone is an Android and I have to switch to my IPhone to use Simply Piano. Not fun.

You can't change any settings after you've set it up for the first time. You can't filter songs. It puts finger numbers above notes with no way to change them to letters or remove them, so it's a lot more like playing interactive tabs than it is learning to read music. For each of those they fix or add, I'd gladly add a star. But for now, I just can't recommend it for the price. It just feels so incomplete. Like paying for a beta.
