2.8 The CNN app is a powerhouse of news delivery, offering a range of features that cater to the needs of modern users. Here are some of its standout highlights:
As a busy professional, I often find myself juggling multiple tasks throughout the day. The CNN app has become my go-to source for news updates during my morning commute. I typically start my day by scrolling through the app while sipping my coffee, catching up on the latest headlines. During lunch breaks, I often dive deeper into articles that pique my interest, allowing me to stay informed without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, when significant events occur, such as natural disasters or political developments, I rely on the app for real-time updates, ensuring I’m always in the know.
The user interface of the CNN app is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that highlights the top stories of the day. Scrolling through articles is smooth, and I appreciate the easy access to different categories like World, Politics, and Health. The feature workflow is straightforward; I can quickly switch between reading articles and watching videos without any lag. Overall, my experience has been positive, as the app performs well even during peak usage times, and I find myself returning to it regularly for updates.
The CNN app is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for users looking for reliable news without a subscription fee. While there are premium features available through CNN+, the core functionalities of the app remain accessible to everyone. This makes it an excellent choice for those who want to stay informed without breaking the bank.
CNN frequently updates its app to enhance user experience and fix any bugs. I’ve noticed improvements in loading times and the addition of new features over the past few months. The support team is responsive, and I’ve had a positive experience when reaching out for assistance. They provide timely updates on any issues, ensuring users feel valued and heard.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, including CNN. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. Upon registration, I was required to provide minimal personal data, which is reassuring for those concerned about privacy. The app does collect data to personalize the user experience, but I appreciate that it allows users to manage their privacy settings effectively.
While the app does feature ads, they are not overly intrusive, and I have not experienced any tracking behavior that feels invasive. Overall, I feel secure using the CNN app, knowing that my data is handled responsibly and that I have control over my privacy settings.

Streaming hasn't worked for months on my Sony Android TV. I've rebooted, cleared storage, cleared cache, and reinstalled the app multiple times. It will not start any streams. The LG WebOS version works fine on my LG tv in the same house. Such a widely used news outlet should not settle for a 1.8 rating on a primary means of viewing their content. How much do they pay their head of IT for a non-working app? One word from the top would surely get it fixed. I'll fix it for half their salary!

this app doesn't do what is advertised sometimes you get CNN sometimes it's 2chanels of CNN international and sometimes it's. the other channels.you sold it as 24hr CNN . make the CNN channel cnn

there really should be a tier or feature that is simply live cnn with ads. I don't see the point of this app without live feed.

down loaded but didn't work several times

Annoying bugs but basically works. Most annoying issue is live sound keeps going in background sometimes after pressing home in Google TV box and even over other apps you've opened like CNN ghost of TV past. sometimes the spinner goes and goes and it takes switching between CNN channels in app or exit and open it again to get it to play again.
