4.1 Feedly - Smarter News Reader is a powerful tool designed to streamline your news consumption and keep you updated on topics that matter to you. Here are some of its standout features:
As someone who juggles multiple interests and a busy work schedule, Feedly has become an essential part of my daily routine. Every morning, I start my day with a cup of coffee and a quick scroll through my customized feed. Whether I’m looking for the latest updates in technology, health, or even lifestyle tips, Feedly has it all in one place. During my lunch breaks, I often dive deeper into articles that catch my eye, allowing me to stay informed without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, when I’m working on a project, I use Feedly to gather relevant articles and insights, which I can easily share with my team through the collaboration features.
The user interface of Feedly is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through various categories and articles. The layout is visually appealing, with a focus on readability. I appreciate how quickly I can switch between different feeds and how the app remembers my preferences. The workflow is smooth; I can save articles, share them, or even highlight important sections with just a few taps. Performance-wise, the app is responsive, and I’ve never experienced any lag, even when loading multiple feeds at once. Overall, my experience with Feedly has been overwhelmingly positive, as it has transformed the way I consume news and stay informed.
Feedly offers a free version that provides access to basic features, which is great for casual users. However, for those who want to unlock advanced features like AI recommendations, team collaboration, and more extensive integrations, there are premium plans available. The pricing is reasonable, especially considering the value it adds to my daily news consumption and productivity.
Feedly is regularly updated, with new features and improvements rolled out frequently. I’ve noticed enhancements in the AI recommendations and overall performance, which shows the developers are committed to providing a top-notch user experience. The support team is responsive, and I’ve had a positive experience when reaching out for assistance. They also maintain an active blog where they share updates and tips on how to make the most of the app.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Feedly does a commendable job in this regard. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards. When registering, I was only required to provide minimal personal data, which is a relief compared to many other apps that demand extensive information.
Feedly does not bombard users with ads, which enhances the overall experience. Additionally, the app has a clear privacy policy that outlines how they handle user data. I appreciate that they do not engage in excessive tracking behavior, allowing me to enjoy my reading without feeling like I’m being monitored. Overall, I feel secure using Feedly, knowing that my data is handled responsibly.

Decided to give it another try. Getting rid of ads is a great reason to use RSS, but nope... Feedly puts em right back in. I was like no prob, I can buy a pro version. But nope. It's a subscription. 8 bucks a month😒 You can't even save a feed with creating an account. One assumes that's so they can track and harvest. I find myself very frustrated by being unable go find an app that just brings you the RSS without a bunch of nonsense added on. It's supposed to be simple. Really simple.

It's fine. It was better before they added ads right in the feed. I'd tolerate those as a cost of a free app, but today Feedly deleted a bunch of older unread items without asking me. They just vanished. Losing something valuable like that is not acceptable to me, so I'm on the hunt to find another app. Also, they logged me out recently and it won't let me log back in. So I lost all my saved feeds!

Count me as not a fan of the new update. I opened it up this morning and found all my settings had been reset to defaults, the Pocket integration was gone, controls in different places. I'm surprised I didn't have to log back in, but that might at least have given me some warning. It's like a completely new reader; maybe time to try a different one?

Share via email doesn't work after March 2017 updates. Very convenient way to follow dozens of blogs without a lot of hassle. One improvement I would like to see would be the ability to specify the number of articles which are pre-loaded. Currently, when I start the reader, I see "Loading Updates", then a few screens of articles appear. Then after swiping through a few screens of articles I see a screen that just says "Done" with a giant checkmark. I have to hit the "Mark all read" button a couple of times, and wait for more to load before I can see more articles. In many cases, I have to do this every 2-3 pages, even though there are hundreds of unread articles. I have a slow connection so this really slows down the process of skimming through a lot of unread articles.

Used to be my favorite app to use while on the NYC subway for my morning reading. Now after the latest updates, it no longer works for me. It constantly looks to refresh the feeds even when I don't have a cell signal, so after one minute of use I get an error message saying no signal. Used to be able to load up a few pages of articles when I had a signal, and those would be there until I refreshed again. The constant looking to auto refresh now has me looking for a replacement app.
