4.2 As someone who is always on the go, I found myself using the Pimsleur app in various scenarios throughout my day. One of my favorite times to use it is during my daily commute. Instead of scrolling through social media, I would listen to a lesson while driving or taking public transport. This not only made my commute productive but also transformed what used to be wasted time into an engaging learning experience.
Another scenario where Pimsleur proved invaluable was during my recent trip to Italy. I had been using the app for a few weeks before my trip, and I felt confident enough to order food in Italian and ask for directions. The phrases I learned became second nature, and I was able to connect with locals in a way that made my travel experience much richer.
The user interface of the Pimsleur app is clean and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a simple dashboard that displayed my current lesson and progress. The lessons are structured in a way that feels natural; each session builds on the previous one, reinforcing what I've learned while introducing new concepts. I particularly appreciated the interactive nature of the lessons, where I was prompted to respond verbally, making the learning process feel dynamic and engaging.
Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any glitches or lag, which is crucial when you're trying to focus on learning. I also loved the ability to adjust playback speed, allowing me to slow down the audio when I needed to catch every word. Overall, my experience with Pimsleur has been overwhelmingly positive; I felt motivated and excited to learn each day.
Pimsleur offers a subscription model that provides access to all language courses. While the pricing may seem a bit steep compared to other language learning apps, I found the quality of the content and the effectiveness of the method to be worth the investment. They often have promotional offers for new users, which can make it more affordable to get started. Additionally, the flexibility of the subscription allows you to cancel anytime, which adds a layer of convenience.
Pimsleur regularly updates its app to enhance user experience and add new features. I noticed improvements in the app's performance and user interface over time, which shows their commitment to providing a top-notch learning experience. Customer support is also readily available; I had a question about my subscription, and their response was prompt and helpful. This level of support gives me confidence that I can rely on them throughout my language learning journey.
As an American user, security and privacy are always top of mind when using apps like Pimsleur. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, but I appreciated that they were transparent about how my data would be used. There are no intrusive ads, which is a significant plus for me, as I dislike being bombarded with advertisements while trying to learn.
Moreover, Pimsleur does not engage in excessive tracking behavior, which is reassuring. They focus on providing a quality learning experience rather than monetizing user data. Overall, I feel secure using the app, knowing that my personal information is handled responsibly and that my learning experience is free from distractions.

It's a very good app for learning Korean. The use of genders and having a distinctly American voice for prompts and narration works very well up until lesson 28 of level 1. There's a point when the American keeps saying, "Time" in conjunction with the Korean speaker, but it's not clear why he's saying it. My guess is that his part is supposed to be part of her explanation, but if that's so, then they should have had the Korean saying, "Time" instead. Other than that, so far so good.

I highly recommend this app. I have tried several others, including Duolingo, Hello Chinese, and Rocket Chinese, and so far this one is teaching very well and very quickly! I am doing the Chinese course, but I also tried their Italian, German, and Spanish. They all seem just as great. I had already studied pinyin before I started their Chinese course, which made it easier however. I advise others to learn some pinyin before you start their Chinese course as well, if you want to make it easier.

I've only been using this for two days but I've used other language programs and this gives you a lot more for your money. I love that it starts you out with speaking and listening practice from the very beginning. I struggle the most with listening comprehension. Danes speak very quickly though so I'll see how much it helps in the context of real life. Update: I finished all 30 lessons of Danish and the enrichment exercises and I'm so sad there isn't more. I love this method though.

Ive used the app for over a month and i really like the way Pimsleur teaches. I'm learning Japanese and started the beginning lessons even though I'm a little past beginner level. Pimsleur is really good at helping you be more comfortable with speaking and forming sentences. my suggestions in japanese are to include lessons on plain way of speaking and not just the polite way. I really wish I could learn the plain way to speak and more vocabulary.

What a shame. I've been subscribed to this app for months and loved the main audio lessons. But then I started learning Mandarin and began using the other features to help with pronunciation, and that's when it all fell apart because the audio doesn't play consistently no matter what I do. I wish I discovered this before I bought the lifetime access (I was trying to SAVE money). To add insult to injury, I just found a 50% 4th of July discount on it... It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth now.
