4.4 As an avid plant enthusiast, I often find myself surrounded by greenery, whether in my home, at a friend's garden, or exploring local parks. One sunny afternoon, I was visiting a botanical garden when I stumbled upon a stunning plant with striking purple leaves. Without hesitation, I pulled out my phone and opened Plantum. Within seconds, the app identified it as a Purple Heart plant, providing me with fascinating details about its origin and care requirements. This moment not only satisfied my curiosity but also enriched my knowledge about plants I had never encountered before.
Another scenario where Plantum proved invaluable was during a recent housewarming party. A friend brought a beautiful potted plant as a gift, but neither of us knew how to care for it. I quickly snapped a photo with Plantum, and it identified the plant as a ZZ plant. The app then provided us with essential care tips, including light preferences and watering schedules, which made it easy for my friend to keep the plant healthy and thriving.
The user interface of Plantum is sleek and intuitive, making it easy for anyone to navigate. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that allowed me to either take a photo or browse my previously identified plants. The workflow is seamless; after snapping a picture, the app quickly processes the image and presents the identification results along with care tips. I was particularly impressed by the speed of the identification process, which usually took less than a few seconds.
Performance-wise, Plantum has been reliable, with minimal lag or crashes during my usage. The app's design is visually appealing, featuring vibrant images and a user-friendly layout that enhances the overall experience. I felt a sense of satisfaction every time I identified a new plant, and the additional information provided made me feel more connected to my green companions.
Plantum offers a free version that includes basic plant identification features, which is perfect for casual users. However, for those who want to unlock the full potential of the app, there is a premium subscription available. This subscription provides access to advanced features, including an expanded database and personalized care reminders. I found the pricing to be reasonable, especially considering the wealth of information and support the app offers.
The developers of Plantum are proactive in providing updates and support. I noticed that the app frequently receives updates that enhance its functionality and expand its plant database. Additionally, the customer support team is responsive and helpful, addressing any questions or concerns I had during my usage. This level of commitment to user satisfaction is commendable and adds to the overall positive experience of using the app.
As an American user, I prioritize security and privacy when using mobile applications. Plantum is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for app distribution. Upon downloading, I was pleased to find that the registration process was straightforward, requiring only basic information without excessive personal data requests.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, Plantum maintains a clean interface without intrusive advertisements. The app does collect some usage data to improve its services, but it is transparent about this in its privacy policy. I appreciate that the developers prioritize user privacy while still providing a valuable service. Overall, I feel secure using Plantum, knowing that my data is handled responsibly.

I downloaded this app to check it out. Of course there is a subscription like I expected. Weekly plan is 4.99. Yearly is 14.99 then they have option for a free trial. So if you opt in for the free trial the yearly price then turns into 19.99. So its not really free. Your paying for a week extra but getting 3 days. Uninstalling because clearly they are trying to rip you off.

Great app to identify my plants and keep me on schedule for their care. Easy to use. The only con is that it will lose all the data occasionally (twice so far) so I have to reload my data. Update:This is the third time all of my data has been dropped and I have lost my good nature at this point. I paid for a year but am very disappointed that in coming to leave this review there is a note in red that this is no longer compatible with my device. ???!!!

Several errors, but my biggest complaint- lots of my plants aren't even included in their encyclopedia, and some of the classification is very confusing. For example, a plant that's not uncommon might be listed under an unusual name. All in all, it would be easy to use, if it was better organized with more plants, and edited for errors.

I was skeptical about using an app for plant identification, but Plantum has won me over. the process is quick and painless just take a photo and voila! the app gives you a detailed breakdown of your plant, including its needs and potential problems. the care reminders have been particularly helpful. I've forgotten to water my plants way too many times before, but now I never miss a beat. one thing I'd love to see added is more information on common pests and diseases.

Minus 1000 *!! WORST APP EVER!! updated, & tried everything, including using the menu in the app description where you're supposed to be able to select the part of the app you want to go to, that however didn't work either! Not one single thing will EVER come up except the advertising page that says their name & their supposed # of users, which is obviously a blatant lie, cause no one would keep this since it doesn't DO anything. PERIOD! I would not take a chance with this, it might be spyware!
