4.1 Skillshare is a dynamic online learning platform that offers a plethora of classes across various disciplines. Here are some of its standout features that make it a go-to app for learners and creators alike:
My journey with Skillshare began when I decided to explore my creative side. As someone who works a 9-to-5 job, I often found it challenging to dedicate time to learning new skills. However, Skillshare's flexible structure allowed me to integrate learning into my daily routine seamlessly. For example, during my lunch breaks, I would dive into a quick class on watercolor painting, which not only provided a refreshing break from work but also sparked my creativity. Additionally, on weekends, I would dedicate a couple of hours to more in-depth classes, such as a comprehensive course on digital marketing strategies, which I could apply directly to my side hustle.
The user interface of the Skillshare app is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made navigation a breeze. The search function is robust, allowing me to filter classes by category, skill level, or even duration. I particularly appreciated the "recommended for you" section, which suggested classes based on my interests and previous enrollments. The video quality is excellent, and the instructors are engaging, making the learning experience enjoyable. I also found the feature that allows users to create projects and share them with the community to be incredibly motivating. Overall, my experience with the app has been overwhelmingly positive, as it has not only enhanced my skills but also connected me with a community of like-minded learners.
Skillshare operates on a subscription model, offering a free trial for new users to explore the platform. After the trial, the monthly subscription fee is quite reasonable, especially considering the vast library of classes available. I found the investment worthwhile, as the skills I gained have already started to pay off in my personal and professional life. Additionally, Skillshare often runs promotions, making it even more accessible for those looking to learn without breaking the bank.
Skillshare is committed to improving its platform, regularly rolling out updates that enhance user experience and add new features. I’ve noticed improvements in the app's performance, such as faster loading times and smoother video playback. The support team is responsive and helpful; I once had a question regarding my subscription, and they addressed it promptly via email. The community forums are also a great resource for troubleshooting and sharing tips with other users.
As an American user, I take security and privacy seriously, and Skillshare has measures in place to protect its users. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards of these platforms. When registering, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my name and email address, which is standard for most online services. Skillshare does not bombard users with ads, which is a significant plus for me, as it allows for an uninterrupted learning experience. However, like many apps, it does track user behavior to improve recommendations and personalize the experience. Overall, I feel secure using Skillshare, knowing that my data is handled responsibly and that I can focus on learning without unnecessary distractions.

I absolutely adore this app and rely on it for so many things. I've learned a ton from it and spend time every day on either the app or the website during the free trial version. The only reason for knocking off one star is that the price for a year long membership is simple untenable for a lot of people, and you're missing out on people who would be loyal customers with such a high barrier to entry. even the monthly price is difficult for a lot of us, and I'll be saying goodbye again soon.

I love the actual site, but the app is horrible! poor navigation, broken links, no ability to save to lists, can't hit "back" arrow or "x" because of the way the UI is. Impossible to navigate through the app. You guys have GOT to put some work into it. It's silly for an app to be so broken in 2026.

will not work with an android phone! When going into the app it kicks you out. So I paid $168 for an app I cant use! I would like to get a refund and will be looking for the contact information for Skillshare. It wouldn't be such a huge blow if it was a monthly fee not a yearly fee. More than extremely disappointed. Actually quite furious. *** To follow up on my review: I sent an email to Skillshare and they did refund my money to my account within a day.

I've been wanting to use skillshare for a long while, but since they switched to a yearly only plan online, I wasn't able to. Low income, can't afford that exorbitant price. then I heard that if you download the app, you get the monthly subscription option back! I was super excited, I can budget $12, $14 a month, cool. Except no, the monthly price is $49. $49 a month. That is Adobe levels of greed. I'd be fine with a version with ads if the issue is paying the teachers, but $49 a month is insane

I love the classes! Maneuvering around the site is not intuitive for me. Specifically, when I click on my app icon it often goes to the first class I took and starts the lesson again. I'm not sure how to edit my profile. I didn't realize my full name would be posted with my projects. (No biggie; just want the option. ) I have trouble posting more than 1 photo for a class. These are my difficulties. Other than that, it's great.
