3.6 Cisco Secure Client-AnyConnect is a robust VPN solution that offers a suite of features designed to enhance security and connectivity for users. Here are some of its core features that stand out:
As a remote worker, I rely heavily on Cisco Secure Client-AnyConnect to maintain a secure connection to my company's network. One of the most common scenarios is when I’m working from a coffee shop. The public Wi-Fi can be a hotspot for cyber threats, but with AnyConnect, I can connect to my office network securely. I also use it when traveling; whether I’m in a hotel or an airport, I can access sensitive files without worrying about my data being intercepted. Additionally, during team meetings, I often share my screen to present documents, and the app ensures that my connection remains stable and secure throughout the session.
The user interface of Cisco Secure Client-AnyConnect is clean and intuitive. Upon launching the app, I’m greeted with a straightforward dashboard that displays my connection status and available networks. The workflow is seamless; connecting to the VPN takes just a click, and I appreciate the quick access to settings for advanced configurations. Performance-wise, I’ve noticed minimal lag when connected, which is crucial for my productivity. Overall, my experience has been positive; the app runs smoothly, and I feel confident knowing my data is protected while I work.
Cisco Secure Client-AnyConnect operates on a subscription model, which can vary based on the features and number of users. While it may seem a bit pricey compared to other VPN services, the level of security and support provided justifies the cost. For businesses, the investment in this app can lead to significant savings by preventing data breaches and ensuring compliance with security regulations.
Cisco is known for its commitment to keeping its software up to date, and AnyConnect is no exception. Regular updates ensure that the app remains compatible with the latest operating systems and security protocols. Additionally, the support team is responsive and knowledgeable; I had a minor issue with configuration once, and they resolved it quickly through their customer support chat. This level of service gives me peace of mind as a user.
When it comes to security and privacy, Cisco Secure Client-AnyConnect stands out as a trustworthy option for American users. The app is available on official app stores, including the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that users download a legitimate version. Registration requires minimal personal data, which is a significant plus for privacy-conscious individuals. I appreciate that the app does not bombard me with ads or engage in excessive tracking behavior, allowing me to use it without feeling like my data is being exploited. Overall, Cisco Secure Client-AnyConnect prioritizes user security and privacy, making it a reliable choice for anyone looking to protect their online activities.

It is a very good Enterprise App. The only thing is the widget are a bit flaky. And dont work well when App is disconnected. Will say most negative reviews Are user who do not understand this app. It is a Enterprise app. so everything is controlled on server side. Splits tunnel, saving pass words certificate. Controlled by server side. so if things don't work like expect. it is either misconfigured on server-side. Or the way organization set it up. Think of it as a dumb client with no control.

The functionality is good overall. I have two issues though: 1. why can't credentials be saved? 2. for a while now, I think since the latest update, the cisco symbol keeps popping up in my notification bar and then disappearing a second later, while I am not connected or using the app. This should be fixed in order to prevent battery drainage.

Full of bugs. Connections will duplicate on their own in the list. Some can't be deleted. None can be renamed. A notification that the VPN is running will appear, but it might disappear while it's still running, and it doesn't disappear when it's stopped. This is the worse VPN app I've ever seen, I hope I can find another that supports the Cisco protocol.

I force stop this app everyday. I can tap menu => exit but within a few minutes the disconnected notification will reappear. There is also a problem where the app can't accept proxies forced by the organisation. Our managed services supplier actually suggested we setup a new apn everytime we connect on android which is ridiculous, it's easier to disconnect everytime you want to use the outside internet

Garbage app, will not let me past the login screen on my s9+. Another review from a year ago shows the exact same problem with exact same device and still they have not fixed it. I've worked with my company's a IT Department to no avail. I have encouraged my company to move on from this lousy overall platform but for now I'm stuck with it. Hopefully, one day they listen.
