3.7 The UPS app is a powerful tool for anyone who frequently ships packages or needs to track deliveries. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it simplifies the shipping process and keeps you informed every step of the way. Here are some of the core features that stand out:
As someone who juggles both personal and professional commitments, the UPS app has become an essential part of my daily routine. Whether I’m sending gifts to family or shipping products for my online store, the app is always at my fingertips. Just last week, I had to send a last-minute package to my sister for her graduation. I quickly created a shipping label while waiting in line at the coffee shop, and by the time I got home, I had already scheduled a pickup for the next day. The convenience of managing my shipments on the go is a game-changer.
The user interface of the UPS app is intuitive and straightforward. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my recent shipments and tracking information. Navigating through the various features is seamless, and I appreciate how quickly I can access the shipping management tools. The performance is impressive; I’ve never experienced lag or crashes, even when tracking multiple packages simultaneously. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, as the app not only saves me time but also reduces the stress associated with shipping logistics.
The UPS app itself is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for users. However, shipping costs vary based on package size, weight, and delivery speed. I find the pricing to be competitive, especially for small businesses like mine. The app also provides estimates for shipping costs before I finalize my labels, allowing me to budget accordingly.
UPS regularly updates the app to enhance functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed improvements in tracking accuracy and the addition of new features over time. Customer support is readily available through the app, and I’ve had to reach out once for assistance with a shipping issue. The response was prompt and helpful, which reassured me that I could rely on UPS for support when needed.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that handles personal and financial information. The UPS app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During registration, I was required to provide basic personal information, including my name, address, and email. I appreciate that UPS has a clear privacy policy outlining how my data is used and protected.
Importantly, the app does not bombard users with ads, which is a relief. Instead, it focuses on providing a streamlined experience without unnecessary distractions. I also feel secure knowing that UPS employs encryption and other security measures to protect my data from unauthorized access. Overall, I feel confident using the UPS app, knowing that my privacy is respected and my information is secure.

Just does not work. Anytime an action is performed the app says the session has expired and logs me out. The app always says I have no packages scheduled for delivery. Unable to track packages (session has expired, re-log issue). Unable to add delivery addresses (says they are experiencing technical difficulties and to try again later). Just delete and use the website.

App constantly logs me out, and when I log back in all my tracking numbers are gone, making the app basically useless. I shouldn't need to reenter my tracking numbers every time I swap to a different app and back. ETA 2-16-26: Now the app just gets stuck on the loading screen. Let it sit for over 20 minutes and still stuck on the loading screen. Absolutely useless.

Incoming packages show up in the app when not picked up yet (when a tracking number was created), but disappear as soon as they're picked up and have a delivery date set. They still show up on my account online, but they disappear from the app. Why?? Edited to add: looking at recent app reviews, this is an ongoing problem since the most recent app update. Also, I just got a push notification about one of my packages from the app, but the app itself says I have no packages!

It's a nice app and all, but unfortunately useless when it comes to being notified for deliveries. The app told me I had a package (signature required) scheduled to be delivered today from 2pm-6pm. Checking multiple times before 2pm, I see that the delivery time remains unchanged. All of a sudden, when I come back home, around 12pm, I get notified saying I wasn't there to get my delivery... so why didn't the app at LEAST tell me that it was coming soon?

I really like this app because it's free and it tells me when my package is going to arrive and if there's a problem they give you a window usually much more precise than what you get from the shipper. and if it's say a sort of mission critical item often you can see where the UPS truck is when it gets close so you can if possible. be there when it is delivered and this is quite handy!
