4.5 As someone who juggles multiple online accounts for both personal and professional use, Duo Mobile has become an essential part of my daily routine. Every morning, I log into my email and project management tools, and each time, I rely on Duo Mobile to authenticate my identity. Whether I’m at home or on the go, the app ensures that I can access my accounts securely. I also use it when I travel for work; during a recent business trip, I had to log into my company’s VPN. Thanks to Duo Mobile, I was able to approve the login request instantly, allowing me to access important files without any hassle.
The user interface of Duo Mobile is clean and intuitive, making it easy for anyone to navigate. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a straightforward layout that displays all my accounts that require authentication. The workflow is seamless; I simply select the account I need to access, and the app provides me with the necessary options for approval. Performance-wise, Duo Mobile is incredibly responsive. I’ve never experienced lag or delays, even when I’m in a rush. Overall, my experience with the app has been overwhelmingly positive. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my accounts are secure, and the ease of use makes it a tool I can rely on daily.
Duo Mobile is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for individuals and small businesses looking to enhance their security without incurring additional costs. While there are premium features available for larger organizations, the core functionalities of Duo Mobile are accessible to everyone at no charge, making it an excellent choice for anyone concerned about online security.
The developers of Duo Mobile are committed to providing regular updates, ensuring that the app remains secure and functional. I’ve noticed several updates since I started using it, each one improving the user experience and adding new features. Additionally, the support team is responsive and helpful. I once had a question about setting up a new account, and I received a prompt reply with clear instructions, which made the process much easier.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to using apps like Duo Mobile. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility and trustworthiness. During the registration process, I was required to provide minimal personal data, which is reassuring in an age where data privacy is a significant concern. There are no intrusive ads or tracking behavior that I’ve noticed while using the app, which is a huge plus. Duo Mobile focuses on providing security without compromising user privacy, making it a reliable choice for anyone looking to protect their online accounts.

One less star because of a minor usability thing which would make life easier for those us who need to type in codes into the app. The keyboard does not open up to the numpad or keyboard + number row at the top when clicking on Enter Code from a notification. Instead it opens to the default keyboard without the numbers requiring Pressing+Holding or manually switching to the keypad. Otherwise, it works well. I don't have issues receiving the appropriate notifications, either.

After I re-download the Duo mobile on a new phone, suddenly I couldn't sign into my account. Every time I tried, it said the app couldn't find my account. Thankfully, I didn't have much connected to Duo, and I was able to get access to everything that was connected again, but for a while, I thought I was completely locked out of those accounts.

When it works, it works, but grudgingly. If you aren't running the most recent Android version, perhaps you have a slightly older phone, it will "remind" you to update, even if your phone is no longer getting android updates. Yes, thanks for reminding me I'm poor, duo. If you're not getting push notifications, you may need to disable battery optimizing for the app, or else android will stop the app from running in the background.

I've been extremely frustrated with the app for a few weeks now and finally got the point where I'm so sick of it I wanted to leave a review. Judging by the other top reviews here, I'm not the only one. I *still* keep accidentally denying my logins because they moved the 'Deny' button where the 'OK' button goes for pretty much every other app. There are other issues like notifications not showing up, but nothing is more frustrating to me when I'm still tired in the morning and deny my own login because this app swapped the buttons around.

I deleted this app after thinking I didn't need it. I tried getting into my college account and it asks for the DUO push. I re-install the app, but it can't find any of my accounts that are supposed to be backed up. You can't open a new account without a barcode or pin number. And they give you no other options to get into your account. I tried using a password to get in but every single password I have tried doesn't work and they give you no option for forgotten passwords. Terrible app!!
