4.7 Paylocity is a comprehensive payroll and HR management solution that stands out for its user-friendly interface and robust features. Here are some of the core highlights that make it a go-to choice for businesses of all sizes:
As a small business owner, I rely heavily on Paylocity for managing my team’s payroll and HR needs. Every two weeks, I find myself diving into the app to process payroll. The automated features allow me to focus on other aspects of my business while ensuring my employees are compensated accurately. Additionally, I often use the app to approve time-off requests, which has streamlined our communication and reduced the back-and-forth emails that used to clutter my inbox.
The user interface of Paylocity is intuitive and easy to navigate. From the moment I logged in, I was impressed by the clean layout and organized dashboard. The workflow for processing payroll is straightforward; I can quickly access employee records, input hours, and run payroll with just a few clicks. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any lag, even during peak usage times. Overall, my experience has been positive, as it has significantly reduced the time I spend on administrative tasks, allowing me to focus on growing my business.
Paylocity offers a variety of pricing plans tailored to different business needs. While the exact pricing can vary based on the features selected and the number of employees, I found their packages to be competitive compared to other payroll services. The investment has been worthwhile, considering the time and resources saved through automation and efficiency.
Paylocity is committed to providing regular updates to enhance user experience and security. I’ve noticed several improvements since I started using the app, including new features and performance enhancements. Their customer support is also commendable; I once had a question about a payroll discrepancy, and their support team was quick to respond and resolve the issue, which left me feeling valued as a customer.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to handling sensitive employee information. Paylocity is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards required for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was asked to provide personal data, including my business information and employee details, which are securely stored and encrypted.
One aspect I appreciate is that Paylocity does not bombard users with ads or excessive tracking behavior. The app focuses on providing a seamless user experience without compromising privacy. I feel confident that my data is protected, and the transparency regarding their data handling practices adds an extra layer of trust. Overall, Paylocity has proven to be a reliable partner in managing my business's payroll and HR needs while prioritizing security and privacy.

This app is ridiculous. The interface is confusing, and is not very user friendly on Android. The login password has to be changed every so often and so remembering it is a pain since it has to change so frequently. Can't use biometrics on my phone, also my fingerprints get messed up due to the nature of my job. If the login and interface were easier this would be a better app. At least create an option to opt out of constant password changes.

No support for Google Authenticator MFA. Has an "AI assistant" that tells you how to enable it, but the instructions reference menus that don't exist and settings that aren't available. This could be prevented by providing quick access shortcuts to click and open directly to the setting you're requesting. But most likely it's just hallucinating settings that *should* exist for basic payroll security. You can't even edit time off requests in the app. You have to visit the web version to edit.

Constant issues with just clocking in at the beginning of my shift. Will be "processing" for 2-5 minutes requiring me to ask for a correction from my supervisor. Using it for on-call results in our staff and supervisor constantly having to fix timesheets. In theory its good. In execution, it seems like a few versions short of a beta test.

location services pings phone when off the clock. not cool. need functionality of location in "when using the app" mode to clock in and out. "always on" isnt ok. tracking exact moment of punches is one thing. tracking while not using the app on off time on personal devices is another. if location is not "always on" punches can only be done with approval. make "when using the app" work for instant time punches that dont require approval.

Cannot see a full schedule showing who else will also be working day to day, and cannot find actual pay statements- just a breakdown of some pay features in the app. They may BE there somewhere, but it is not clear at all how to access them. Full statements should be clearly accessible, especially when most people use direct deposit and never see a full payout in the mail.
