4.2 Homebase: Employee Scheduling is a powerful tool designed to streamline the scheduling process for businesses of all sizes. Here are some of its standout features that make it a must-have for managers and employees alike:
As a manager at a busy restaurant, I rely heavily on Homebase for my daily operations. Each week, I start by creating the schedule for my team. I can easily drag and drop shifts, accommodating requests for time off or changes in availability. One particular instance stands out: a last-minute event required us to adjust our staffing. With Homebase, I was able to quickly reassign shifts and notify my team through the app’s messaging feature, ensuring we were prepared without any chaos.
The user interface of Homebase is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my team’s schedules, upcoming shifts, and any messages. Navigating through the various features is straightforward, which is a relief when I’m juggling multiple tasks. The performance has been smooth, with minimal lag, even during peak hours. Overall, my experience has been positive; the app has significantly reduced the time I spend on scheduling and communication, allowing me to focus more on running the restaurant.
Homebase offers a free plan that includes basic scheduling and time tracking features, which is perfect for small businesses just starting out. For more advanced features like labor cost management and team communication, the paid plans are reasonably priced. I found the investment worthwhile, especially considering the time and effort it saves me each week.
The support from Homebase has been commendable. Whenever I’ve had questions or encountered issues, their customer service team has been responsive and helpful. Additionally, the app receives regular updates that enhance functionality and address any bugs. I appreciate that they are committed to improving the user experience continuously.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that handles employee data. Homebase is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During registration, I was required to provide basic information, such as my business name and employee details, but I felt reassured by their privacy policy, which outlines how my data is used and protected.
Importantly, Homebase does not bombard users with ads, which is a relief. I also appreciate that they do not engage in excessive tracking behavior, allowing me to use the app without feeling like my personal information is being exploited. Overall, I feel secure using Homebase, knowing that my data is handled responsibly.

The countdown that used to show up whenever I would clock out for break is gone with the latest update. I don't know why you would get rid of it, it was super helpful. Now I have to constantly watch the clock to make sure I clock in from break when time is up. I don't use the clock back in reminder in settings because it's never accurate. It always notifies me too late. I hope the countdown timer returns in the next update. UPDATE: The countdown timer is back! It's now on the notification bar.

This app is a fortress, it's so bad that their OWN AI system can't properly navigate it. When I have technical issues with Homebase, I'm navigated back and forth from the app to the online platform. Spoiler! Neither worked to find a solution to my problem, which I highly doubt I am alone in. As an employee, you cannot receive assistance from a live supervisor you are stuck with an AI system that cannot and will not fix any technical issues you run into, and you will run into a lot.

its been 2 years using this app and it's perfect. Never had any issues with it. My team haves access to all features. There are many forms to use this app and even on basic mode you can control with their second app the clock ins & outs or for breaks event though they can do it directly on their phones when they are in the location pinpoint. I still prefer for them to clock in from the tablet in store. it is really a great app, modern and with options that fits for everybody

It now makes me log in with a text or email verified code every time I use the app, which is constantly wasting my time. If you have this issue or any other account problems you can't talk to a person, it's trash ai only even if you request a human. You can't even reset your password with their own prompts on their own app. The issue has still not been resolved.

Worked pretty good at first but now I can't do anything in the app. When I try to sign in it says "something went wrong". This is after I had an error saying "mfa is required" but then when I tried to sign in with my phone number is says "mfa is enabled". I have cleared my cache, my personal storage for the app, and uninstalled and reinstalled twice. I can't even get to the support tab. I'm so frustrated and done with this app. Beware.
